Why do you feel the need to make other people feel bad about themselves by condemning them as sinners and an eternity in hell? Does it make you feel good about yourself to tell someone else that they are going to hell if they don't follow your belief system? Does it make you feel superior to tell someone your way is the only way? Does it make you feel righteous to tell someone they wrong? What if this someone was truly happy without god in their lives? Do you even care? What if this someone can not and do not want to read the bible, pray to god, believe in satan and accept jesus as their saviour? Is it just me or does this sound like these people suffer from a complex? They have issues and they need to resolve their own before they can advise others...

O ye who believe! If an evil-liver bring you tidings, verify it, lest ye smite some folk in ignorance and afterward repent of what ye did.

Yet, when you look at programmes such as Big Brother, the participants know they are being watched and act accordingly, act to impress the viewer. Act to win the prize.
So why don't all of us lead our lives as if we are being watched and judged and as if there is a prize at the end of the show, err life.

Do you realize how futile it is to quote the bible to atheists? Not just because we consider it bizarre to spend your life worshiping what essentially is just shapes formed by ink on paper, we have no proof of a gods existance whatsoever. But more importantly, in order to define ourselves as atheists and not agnostics we have made a conscious decision to disbelieve the bible, this can only be done if we know exactly what we have decided against, so logicaly, we must already be familiar with the bible

Please do not misunderstand my question. I'm not implying that all Atheists are gay. They're not.

But my point is, the average straight Catholic (for instance) won't question his religion. He's very happy in it. It does not oppose his way of life.
Whereas a homosexual Catholic, feels he does not fit in his religion. It stands in his way. He stars asking "WHY". And his journey ends in either Liberal Christianity or Atheism.

What are your thoughts?
Again, no ridicule intended. I'm a bisexual agnostic myself.

In the book of Hebrews we read of the church of the firstborn(s)... the fistborn ones... in Greek firstborn is plural.

I asked the sincere Jehovah Witness at the train station this morning who was not learned in greek who said it must stand for Jessus, but then took it back when he heard it was plural in greek. So why is the whole church in a sense 'the firstborn ones'

And how many uses of firstborn are there in the New Testament
