The Bible has been modified numerous times over the centuries.

The Catholic church periodically changes stances on specific issues.

Yet, Christians will tell you that God never changes. If the people whom he supposedly created in his image (i.e., society), then shouldn't God evolve with them?

If there really is a God, it seems to me that he could learn a thing or two from humanity, collectively.

For example, if someone is a Baptist-Christian, are they more Baptist or more Christian? Use the same analogy with any denominational Christian. If they want to know what to believe, do they go to their denomination more often (denominational publications, preachers, etc.), or do they go to the Bible more often?

What is the primary (first, most often used, etc.) source of authority for determining what a person believes and how they worship?

(Please read Matthew 28:18-20, 1 Corinthians 1:10-13, Acts 17:11, and 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Yet, get defensive when they try to do the same? Seems like a pretty one-sided system to me. If you're truly accepting of others and their beliefs, you would never bash what they have to say.

isn't that exactly what happens when any animal gets pregnant? In the short-term obviously, but the fact remains that from one fertilized egg, the fetus grows into a multi-celled organism. And along the way, parts are built, changed, rebuilt, until you get the end result.

So why can't this happen on a larger, global scale and involve periodic mutation/adaptation to, over time, create new species?

A lot can happen in 100 million years.

Many Christians feel called to ministry and then engage in it as a vocation. 2Corinthians 5:17-20 tells us that all Christians are given the "ministry of reconciliation" whether they are paid to do it or not. Do you believe it is better to get paid to minister for Christ or to do it without financial obligation? (2Thes 3:6-12; 1Cor 9:1-18; 2Cor 11:7-11; Acts 20:17-35)

I go to a Free Will Church and we have a dance team, what I am asking is, can children actually go around dancing all over the Church? During the Sermon can the children come out of the Youth room and walk through the Church for no apparent reason? Just walk through? Should this be a concern to talk about with the Pastor, my husband doesn't want to go to church because of the distractions. I am wondering if this is normal for a quote unquote "Free Will" Church?

I really believe in the power of prayer, and what better place to reach so many people. My husband and I are trying to conceive baby #2, and I would like (if you have a minute) if you would just say a quick prayer for a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy for me (I hope it happens soon! My son is about to turn 4!). Also, if God is willing, I would like a baby girl :) but of course, that's up to Him!!

Thank you! And God Bless!

I came across an answer to a question on sin... The answer stated that sinning was okay as Jesus (pbuh)had died to forgive their sins( christians)..
Now I am confused!!! I can understand if Jesus (pbuh) had said I am dying for your sins and all sin up to the point of my dying is forgiven (If you take the right and sinless path thereafter)... Surely he did not mean that by dying all sins for ever will be forgiven!!

....require six days to create the universe, and one day to rest??

Now, before you go saying that "a day is but a year and a year is but a day to God", consider this: If he is truly all powerful, he could create the entire universe and everything in it in an instant as short as Planck time. And, being all powerful, why would he need REST afterwards??

And, if he exists outside of space/time, then it could not take him six days or hours or seconds or years or whatever - because time doesnt exist outside of space/time, so this demonstrates that MAN wrote the stories and gave God the same attributes of man - needing time to build or create, and needing rest after what is perceived to be hard work...

At least, that explanation makes more sense...

Now that I'm 62 & retired I'm starting to think more about my own mortality. I've got no fear of dying. However, while in Viet Nam I broke the Thou shall not kill commandment. In a war you follow orders from a superior, not GOD. No laws were broken. But the commandment sure was. Do I need forgiveness for doing as ordered? How can I ask for forgiveness if I am not truly sorry. I regret that it happened, (more than once). But when it happened I felt great. Now I don't feel great but I'm not sorry. If I must be the shooter it's better than being the shot. Your feelings?

So what it cost money there are no pictures in it just a bunch of leieing B.S that you people have changed so much over the years and have cut sections out of the bible and have deface people in the bible.
