Many Christians feel called to ministry and then engage in it as a vocation. 2Corinthians 5:17-20 tells us that all Christians are given the "ministry of reconciliation" whether they are paid to do it or not. Do you believe it is better to get paid to minister for Christ or to do it without financial obligation? (2Thes 3:6-12; 1Cor 9:1-18; 2Cor 11:7-11; Acts 20:17-35)

Just get a job like a regular guy and do your Christianity for free.

Professional religion is annoying. My dad's pastor drives a nicer car than my dad does.

It depends on your vocation.

A few are called to a life of full time ministry.

Most are called to the laity.

"By reason of their special vocation it belongs to the laity to seek the kingdom of God by engaging in temporal affairs and directing them according to God's will. . . . It pertains to them in a special way so to illuminate and order all temporal things with which they are closely associated that these may always be effected and grow according to Christ and may be to the glory of the Creator and Redeemer." - Vatican II document Lumen Gentium, Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, paragraph 31 § 2: http://www.vatican.va/archive/hist_councils/ii_vatican_council/documents/vat-ii_const_19641121_lumen-gentium_en.html

With love in Christ.
