Well since the body of Christ is the church I think it would be greatly missed...
To answer your specific question...Yes it would be greatly missed.
Our church is an outreach offering lunch everyday, a clothing shelter. A ministry for drug and alchohol abusers.A shelter to get prostitutes off the street..We have had them as young as 11.
We offer a place for people who have been hurt by mainstream Christians, and thrown away by society.
Yes I think it would be greatly missed.

My church was dissolved after the membership dwindled to three members. In its day, it had been a large and active part of the community. But, it had lived past its prime. When it ended did anyone notice? The funeral home next door did as it bought the land and tore the building down to build a bigger funeral home. The Spanish catholic church did as all the furnishings and stain glass were donated to it and of course the remaining members did as we had to find a different church, in which I am still looking for. That was about four years ago. Does it affect anyone now? No. Not really.

Yes. Many of the youth & homeless people in our community would notice, because the church I attend has outreach ministries that provide helpful services to these people.

The homeless people would be upset that they had no place to get a hot meal.
The gays, lesbians, and divorced Catholics would be upset that they no longer had a spiritual home that welcomed them and didn't judge or discriminate against them.
The handicapped would be upset that they no longer had an accessible church that also provided them with a community of people who didn't reject them, and that had specific programs designed to minister to their needs.
Those who feel that the leaders of the Catholic church are out of touch with the people they serve would be upset that they no longer have a church that truly listens to their concerns.
Those, like myself, who love Jesus and are Catholic, but disagree with the church's teachings on sexuality, birth control, the role of women, etc. would be upset that they no longer had a spiritual home where they were able to find God's love without being judged.

Yes, there would be a huge difference.
Our church has an employment ministry for those who are out of work, a food pantry for the hungry, ministries for the grieving, shelter for the homeless, and other social services for those in need.

The stability of our photograph voltaic device could be affected. Then the moon, which had relied on our gravity, might spin off in direction of a direction extremely in direction of Mars, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it would miss Mars and spin of into area, crashing into issues -- it ought to start a sequence reaction that ought to impact the universe. (The moon might grow to be a maverick asteroid, the size of which has no longer been obvious interior the final 13 billion years) - the only secure thank you to do away with a planet from the universe is for it to get sucked right into a black hollow. **** Does having your arm amputated impact something of your physique? btw: Even having your vast toe amputated will throw off your stability while strolling, and disturb something of your physique for something of your life. - there have been some lawsuits approximately that.

The building does not define the church. The people inside and who they worship do.
