atheists are not necessarily "obsessed" with Christianity....
1. They talk about Christianity more because it is the biggest (and always has been) of the major world religions(with the most members).
2. Many atheists are former Christians....why would they talk or criticize any other random religion???????
Atheists have their personal reasons for talking about Christianity more.....they didn't just decide to randomly pick Christianity!!!!!

1.) Atheists don't know anything about any other religions.
2.) Entry to these religions is based on race, whereas Christianity is not, though Islam is becoming less so.
3.) There are no atheists in Muslim countries. Atheists are murdered by Muslims if they do not convert. Christians let atheists continue to live and be their own way.
4.) All the other religions conform to what atheists expect them to be: racist, sexist, and intolerant. Christianity is none of those things, so atheists provoke us to try to make us become these, but we remain nonviolent and tolerant to EVERYBODY even to this day.
5.) Atheists are the most underread and ignorant people on the planet and are usually not that well learned.

I can think of two reasons, and there are probably many more.
1. Some who are now atheists were raised in Christian homes and for whatever reason have turned away from the faith. If they're at peace with their decision, they are pretty much "live and let live" and don't take potshots at Christians at every opportunity. If they still feel a conflict, they will, in order to validate their unbelief.
2. Some may just be trying to see if we walk our talk. They've seen infighting among Christians on doctrinal differences that are incomprehensible to them; they've heard pat answers like "love the sinner, hate the sin"; they've been strongarmed and told they're going to hell and so are their children; and they've put us all under scrutiny because while we SAY we are all sinners saved by grace, they SEE us committing the same sins as the rest of the world -- with some Christians acting as if they've been baptised with Teflon instead of water and their sins don't stick. I think they goad us sometimes to see whether our convictions are unshakable, or just a veneer.

What's right and what's wrong is relative to the situation and the people in it. The majority decides what's right and what's wrong, regardless of what's right or what's wrong to the minority. Apparently a few guys decided that killing a few thousand Innocent Americans on 9/11 was the right thing to do. And i would steal from a rich man to feed a poor man's family any day of the week if i could get away with it.

OK... we as Christian's are not in fact the only ones that get under the persecution of Atheists... i have a very strong Atheist friend, and we have our disputes, but we seem to get along very well, if you saw us you think we were just 2 normal kids out on the town, but we can go at it....
And i can tell you this, every Atheist i have ever come in contact with has in fact criticized other religions, but seem to focus more on Christianity.
Why is this? You could say it's the Spirit of AntiChrist.. which i firmly will agree upon.. i was raised with a Pastor as a mom, who is a vivid prayer warrior, and i walk into a school were the spirit of AntiChrist is very evident, and i have been attacked from both physical people and demons.. Cause we do not fight against flesh and blood...
But could it be just that Atheists see us as the biggest threat to their purpose in life to open peoples eyes to Darwinism? Think about it, us as Christians take up the majority of the USA as well as the World...
we are the majority, but yet, we have the weakest believers.
So many people claim to be Christians, but most do not walk the Christian walk... The road to God is narrow, and the road to hell is wide, and ever widening.. we constantly compromise with the World,... i have friends that are so called christians but can't quote a single scripture, and have no clue who Joseph is.. heck, i had a friend get moses mixed up with Mohammad!
So is it an AntiChrist spirit? is it because of our majority? or is it because of the majority of us Christians fall so easily to the side and they take it as an advantage? Only an Atheist would know, but this is my interpretation as a Christian believer
ITS A WAR! LETS MAKE IT A GOOD FIGHT!!

It is so sad, this question is asked often. The atheists respond with the same answers as before. The Christians respond with the same answers as before. NO one is listening... but oh well, here goes.. again.
The reason is because Christianity in the western world is the prevalent religion. It has the power, both politically and socially, to make change. Some of us do not see this change as a good thing, nor the power that a religion can wield. It is not because we are jealous, or we believe it is true and wish to keep on sinning, or anything similarly ridiculous.

If there is only one way to eternal life and avoid damnation by judgment of a life lived, then that religion from the powers that be to destroy will focus all his energy on that religion. "Satan" could leave the others that do not produce an eternal life with the power that is of God and Love. One despises the other and can only serve one master. So they serve who they do not acknowledge. Funny how if they do acknowledge God then it is only to blame God for all the trouble in the world and not the master in which they serve(satan). It is one or the other, the narrow path has no middle ground. One can not balance one foot on the path and one foot off without falling.

Well, in the great Christian Nation of the USA, we, Christians are the majority. Our great Christian Nation was founded by Christians and operates it's government under much of Christian Law.
So, in order to try to force change they must attack us. Not working very well and, in fact, is making the US more of a Christian Nation. There cause would be better served by people other then the likes of Rosie O'Donnell, George Clowny, The Algore and other lefties.
Btw, atheism is a religion. But still only about 3% of the US population and that may well be an over-estimate. I think it is closer to one percent. And even of those most are not true atheists.

My guess is there is an underlying, subconcious need to belong to Christ, but they don't quite understand it (Christianity), and are waiting for the right information or explanation to come forth and enlighten them. Once the Holy Spirit fills them with this awesome passion, there will be no holding them back from turning to Christianity.

The Bible says that the Gospel is a stumbling block and an offense to those who don't believe. If they have such a strong reaction, it's because of something in themselves. Christians would say that "something" is the sin nature reacting in anger and rebellion.
