The answer is yes indeed. Througout human history many wars have been started by religious fanatics who believe that somehow they have the power to change the future away from God's plan as outlined in Scripture and Gospel. Actually in doing so they bring about fulfillment of God's plan.
This is very evident in presesent world conflict.

I'm really curious to find out if anyone has had the same experiences as often described in the traditional NDE, such as travelling through a tunnel to the light, and/or if any of you have had a NDE with different experiences. Also, what were your feelings during and after the experience?

I know it has something to do with when the Romans added a new god, they were upset that the Christians didn't. But I'm not sure.

The Hebrew prophet Ezekiel described Sudan -- ancient "Cush" -- as being an evil nation in the "last days" (Ezekiel 38:5), allied with Russia
Moscow is selling arms that have been used by Sudanese militias to wage outright genocide since 2003....more than 2,000 villages have been completely destroyed, as many as 400,000 Sudanese have been killed, and more than 2.5 million innocent civilians have been displaced by war, revolution and famine
THE GOOD NEWS IS:
Christians around the world have responded with love and compassion, bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars worth of humanitarian aid into Sudan...

Christians think, "I exist and that's too much of a coincidence for there not to be a god," but then they speculate way too far and come up with these really impractical superstitions. They jump from, "There must be a creator," to:

Oh...I must be immortal!
I'm not really made of matter because I have a soul that defies the laws of physics!
God wants me to live in absolute bliss!
God punishes us for sin even though we're just ants to Him
All Christians have the Force and when you call upon the Force good things will come.

"Honor each other, above that of yourselves"

If interested, think of someone who is opposed to the beliefs, that you embrace...honor that person openly and in true humility above your own self. (I have done this on occasion with Atheists, for example)...please do present your offering in a spirit of coyness,or insincere and mushy sweetness

First let me point out that I am an atheist. I had a couple of specific ghost encounters when I was younger, which caused me to believe in ghosts. I am not certain exactly what a ghost is, but to me, they exist in some form. Are there other atheists out there who believe as I do? People often ask me how it is possible for me to believe in ghosts and yet be an atheist. How does this work for you and your beliefs?

For one thing,it means they aren't actually descendents of the ancient Hebrews,so there goes the basis for fundamentalist "Christian Zionism" - but also any legitimate claim to Palestine. Even the term "antisemitic" becomes meaningless, since all Arabs have nothing but Semitic blood whereas only a small percentage of Jews have only a small trace. The term - if it is to be used at all - is more properly afflied to Arabs. The term for anti-Jewish prejudice would have to be...simply "antijewish". Comments? Please, try to be serious, thoughful and avoid insults,name-calling and reverse-racist smear tactics..

Okay this is what happened. I have this co-worker named Tony and out of the blue a few days ago when our friend Monica was showing her baby pictures, Tony was there as well as a couple other people and she was telling everybody the names and mentioned that all the children were named from people in the bible and then Tony got all pissed and said that if my wife was here, she would tear the bible apart from all the contradictions they believe exist. I dont get why he was so pissed. I know he is a buddhist but we never talk bad about his religion so what is his problem? My personal thoughts are that if he finds out the bible is true, he would have to own up to the things he has done in his life and change his ways and there are many people out there that just dont want to do that. So what do you all think about this? Should I say anything to him or not? Thanks in advance. God bless.

Apparently it is my soul that will be going to hell.
As the soul is not a physical thing and has no nervous system I will be impervious to pain,so no suffering.
Also think of the great people who are going to be there,Darwin,Gandhi and many others while those that "go upstairs" will have the pleasure of the company of christians like Hitler for example.
