I'm really curious to find out if anyone has had the same experiences as often described in the traditional NDE, such as travelling through a tunnel to the light, and/or if any of you have had a NDE with different experiences. Also, what were your feelings during and after the experience?

I had two
1st (I was 5, nearly drowned) had the experience of floating above and looking down at my mother leaning over my bed (in the hosp)
2nd- had an operation at the hosp when I was 25, had a bad reaction to medicine, had a seizure then went unconscious-was kept alive with a breathing tube and a stomach tube afterwards, in the meantime-I remember nothing at all-sorry
My grandmother had an allergic reaction to penicillan a long time before I was born, she was technically dead and her memory was floating at the top of the room and seeing my grandfather and everything he was doing/yelling before she was revived.
No tunnels for either of us.

edit: I remember reading about a book about NDE's by a doctor who refused to believe in them until he started working with children in a hosp who had NDE experiences, I still believe some are explained by scientific reasoning but not that all are-I can't explain seeing or remembering anything when my eyes and my brain were still in another location but I still experienced it.

NDE's are the body's natural reactions due to the brain shutting down while suffering from a lack of oxygen. Pilots who endure tremendous G-force stress in g-force training(and who usually pass out from lack of oxygen to the brain) often experience phenomena that are shockingly similar to reported NDE's. The tunnel vision, seeing your body as you float away from it..etc... The person experiencing the NDE tends to interpret it in a biased fashion based on their own beliefs or the beliefs of people who can easily put pressure on them to make them believe they know what was experienced. (i.e. a christian family member saying OMG You had an NDE.... and you briefly visited heaven... it must not have been your time to go.)
