I love you. You may join in my love if you lead the perfect life. If you slip you may burn animals. No need to burn animals, I'll just send my only son to die for you. You still don't love me?

BURN!!!!!!

I just don't get how you can love this guy.

To be miracles of God in order to prove his existence? When he wont prove his existence himself. Did he ever show himself even in the old testament. When Moses saw the burning bush come on a burning bush is God. Are you sure Moses wasnt hallucinating. Did anyone ever read the ten commandments except Moses? He locked them in a box and the box disappeared. Why don't Christians open up their window stick their head out and shout I'm mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it any more if God is real let him show him self?

I am very honored that my friend has asked me to be her child's godmother, but she is Cathloic and I am Pantheist. I would love to support her child and be a part of her life, but question whether I would be the appropriate godmother. I plan to discuss this with my friend soon, but wanted to see what others think the role of a godmother entails.

I read on several other threads comments such as: "Christians are as dangerous as Islamic terrorists", "They will kill you for blasphemy" etc. Can someone please give an example of this from the 21st century. That is, examples of Christians committing violence because someone spoke against Jesus, or forced evangelism etc.

I understand the fact that you think this world is created by science. Not a higher being. And I truely respect that.

But something still keeps me wondering. Many scientific facts weren't discovered untill later on in life. Before people had the technology to discover... What did people believe in... before knowing that science was the creation of this world..Back in the old days when people were still people with practically the same minds that we have today. Who also thought... but didnt have the ability to answer questions because they didn't have the technology..

You understand my question?

I am looking for Quranic verses and ahadith that address any of the following:

Laser Hair removal (beard lines for men, moustache area for women, ear hair, neck hair etc)
Scar and mole removal
Dermabrasion.

These are few of the so many things that one can do in a skin care clinic. A friend of mine is running one (mostly treating problems and very less cosmetics) and is looking for Islamic reference for his business.

Those who do not have appropriate answers, please refrain from unpleasent remarks, thank you

Why God Allows Pain & Suffering

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and

suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will understand.

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said:

"I don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people?

Would there be abandoned children?

If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain.

I can't imagine loving a God who would allow all of these things."

someone on here a bit ago asked if and Christians are willing to admit that there is even a faint chance that they are wrong. I answered that yes there is, but it does not change my faith.

Are there any Atheists in here that are willing to admit that they could possible be wrong about God, or other deity?

What do you think when you see comments like this posted here?

Myself, it kinda makes me think 'And they say atheists are depressed?!' I mean, c'mon, praying for the deaths of billions? That's gotta be about as dark as it gets. What are your thoughts when you see these types of comments?

Don't you think there is a gentler way to approach people about God than proudly and judgemently ranting about how perfect they are though the forgiveness of God, and how the rest of us are all touched by Devils, while ramming the Bible down our throats?
Did Jesus storm up to people and scream you're going straight to hell!

I'm not referring to those who simply have been "religious" and now don't attend church anymore. I'm more interested in the stories of those who were once full-fledged zealots for the "Word of God," who maybe even read their Bibles every day and tried to "get people saved."

What are your thoughts on life now? Do you miss the faith you once had? Have you had success with sharing your story with people who still believe?

why doesnt he just end their existance instead of tourturing them?

and please note that i said 'why?', so do not answer with "god never terminates his creations". i am asking why

Question 2, would you rather cease to exist, or burn in hell for eternity?

I used to believe it based on assumption... from what I was taught as a child. As an adult I set out to prove the validity to myself and found that while the wording has been very carefully preserved for generations, there is little corroborating evidence.
I've come to believe that some of it is truth, and much is parable in which you can find great truths and life lessons. I also see that parts are heavily influenced by the views of the writers, society and times.
What causes you to believe it as absolute truth? Is it a feeling? Is it trust in those who taught you? Have you seen some evidence that I'm unaware of?
