Don't you think there is a gentler way to approach people about God than proudly and judgemently ranting about how perfect they are though the forgiveness of God, and how the rest of us are all touched by Devils, while ramming the Bible down our throats?
Did Jesus storm up to people and scream you're going straight to hell!

For a start I asked a simple question a couple of nights ago and I was told I was touched by a devil and on my way to hell.
I had some man handing out christian leaflets today and when he asked me if I went to church and I said not any more, he shouted in a loud voice TURN OR BURN SINNER! I'm not being judgemental, this is from experience.

Yes we should speak the truth in love.

The key is that the Bible is the Truth. It is God's Word and is God breathed.

All of the biblical prophecy that has been fulfilled has been 100% accurate.

No ramming - just persistently reminding folks of the above mentioned fact & an offer to help with Bible study should they want more info.

Jesus did reprimand people, especially reiligious leaders of the time. His message was to repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. Our need for Salvation is the main topic of the Bible. If someone is telling you about how to get to heaven it is because they want to share this good news with you. Seriously. It's like telling someone on a plane going down that they have a parachute for them.

Those Christians need to understand that the Bible states that we will be judged as harshly as we judge others. Everything should be done in love. There is nothing wrong with being honest and proclaiming how happy you are that you are saved through Jesus, but if you boast that it is somehow by your own means and you pass judgement on others, you are no better than the atheist who thinks he is so much more intelligent than everyone else because he has becomed so enlightened as to think there is no God.

I agree and as for the ones that responded that they haven't met or don't know of people like that then you are lucky and are in a minority. I had this one woman that was a Jehovah's witness knock on my door for months before I moved, my ride and co-worker that was a pastor tried to tell me I was not an atheist just agnostic and when I advised I don't believe in souls or any of it he said I am just failing to recognize god my savior. I am tired of defending my stance if they can say that they are proud theists why can't I say I am a proud atheist?

Imagine that it is a very dark night, and you are standing near the edge of a cliff. Someone comes jogging out of the forest and is heading directly for the edge of the cliff. You have about five seconds to react before they reach the edge, so you jump out and tackle them to the ground just before they would have gone over. Would this be an act of aggression or an act of love?

If you're microwaving popcorn and try to pop all the kernels, you're going to end up burning most of them. I friend of mine does that kind of yelling evangelism. I don't think it's an effective technique in communicating with most people, though some respond positively.

Not many Christians actually do that type of evangelism.

Sounds like the non-believer "victim" claim once again. I can go an entire week without running into another Christian, but listening to some people online, crazy zealous Christians are everywhere, trying to force peace and love on unwanting victims.

Didn't you know that they think they are like Jesus? Of course that's how he did it because that's what they believe.

Now personally I think he was probably very tolerant since he study other religions. Of course I could be wrong and if I am it only proves to me again why I don't like religions.

I really don't understand what Christians are trying to accomplish by yelling and scaring people. If I were confused about my beliefs I would definitely be turned off of Christianity if people were trying to scare me into believing.

This video is a good example of the scare tactics they use.

Why do people keeping saying things like this? Where do you people live? Aside from tv, I don't think I have ever seen or met any Christians like that.
