I keep hearing this garbage that you "can't prove a negative." Thesists like to trot this out to try and discredit the mere notion of atheism. They say it's more rediculous to say God doesn't exist than to say he does, because you can't prove something doesn't exist.

Umm...no.

Here's a logical proof of a negative:

All Christians believe in God.
No atheists believe in God.

No atheists are Christians.

Oh no! I've just proved that atheists cannot be Christians! But wait, how do I know that there isn't some kind of funny invisible atheist hiding on the dark side of the moon that IS a Christian?

That's the kind of silly argument these people come up with to prove "you can't prove a negative." You know, "prove that there is no invisible pink elephant on the moon." That has nothing to do with LOGIC, and everything to do with the difficulty of measuring something. That's a PRACTICAL impossibility, not a LOGICAL impossibility.

Please learn the difference.

blouse and shoes? Did you ever try spitting out the car window and not making it? LOL The guys have a secret that I just learned about a few years ago and it is time you girls knew about it. It is simple really. Just roll your tongue like a straw and make like it is a pea shooter. It really works...now go practice and tell me how well you did. Lol..These are the unspoken things that people need to know. Mmm

WHT DO U HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS?
The Bible has a scientific test how to identify a true believer. It is mentioned in the Gospel of Mark, Ch. No.16, Verse No.17 and 18 - It says that… ‘There will be signs for true believers and among the signs - In my name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak foreign tongues, new tongues, they shall take up serpents - And if they drink deadly poison, they shall not be harmed - And when they place their hand over the sick, they shall be cured.’ This is a scientific test - In scientific terminology, it is known as the ‘confirmatory test’ for a true Christian believer.

In the past 10 years of my life, I have personally interacted with thousands of Christians, including missionaries - I have not come across a single Christian, who has passed this confirmatory test of the Bible. I have not come across a single Christian who took poison and who has not died. And in scientific terminology, this is also called as the ‘falsification test, you will fail. So a person who is not a true Christian believer, will never attempt this test.

Since God doesn't exist and nobody can prove otherwise are there a lot of scientists or mathematicians who believe in God?

if people are for the sanctity of life no matter what the circumstance, are you a vegan? because the commandment isn't "thou shalt not murder" or "thou shalt not kill humans" but "Thou shalt not KILL - PERIOD!" animals have the basic emotions that humans do, they breathe, run, walk, eat, sleep, drink, hear, feel anger, pain, happiness, and most importantly, is ALIVE. so for those people who say that i am a hypocrite for "supporting" abortion under certain circumstances, i believe that you are a hypocrite for not supporting abortion at all but is eating bacon and sausages for breakfast!!! (since most people who oppose abortion cite the "Thou shalt not kill" claim........)

just to clarify, i am pro-life, but i think it depends on the circumstances, just like "manslaughter" and "self-defense" depends upon the circumstances

Global Warming End of Days
Twenty-eight people, many of them drunk, have drowned in the Russian capital this month

Moscow Meteorologists said Monday was the hottest May day in the city since records began.
2 PETER 1:19-21
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

ISAIAH 46:9-10
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

What parts of him can change and which cannot? If you say his "essence" cannot change or something vague like this please explain.

If some aspects cannot change, then he can't be omnipotent or he could change them.

2) What is your life's purpose?
3) Where are you going when you die?
4) How do you account for the perfect order in the universe/perfect design of creations?
Thanks, it would very much enlighten me. Rude people will be reported. Please try to maintain an intelligent atmosphere.

I'm not an English native speaker, sorry, but I keep seeing the word "zing".

So far I've figured out that "ZING!!" is always, without any exception, preceded by a very, very lame boring religious joke.

My dictionary doesn't have the word "zing". It's Dutch for "sing", but that also doesn't help.

So, please, explain.
