We can not convert people to become Christian. It is the job of the Holy Spirit. I know Jesus said "Go and make disciples, preaching the gospel to all the nations." So why are we believing we have some quota to meet and that if someone hasn't turned their heart to God that we can say or do anything to make that happen? Simply we are to preach the gospel (plant the seed) and in believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit will take over from there. "Follow me". Not little ol' me but follow Jesus's example. We are to preach the gospel with "love". Not all Christians are, but my goodness some of us are behaving VERY badly. We know the commandments, we know who our Father is and what He alone has done for us. My heart is burdened not by the fact that we struggle with sin but we lay in it. We have been saved by grace, not of works, lest any man should boast. Do your good deeds before man that he may see and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Let your light shine. God bless!!

and forget? THis is from a human standpoint, not God's. I know that HE forgives and then forgets. But it is unreasonable for to ask someone to forgive and then forget what happened. I have been having this same discussion over and over with my beloved spouse. He says that he has forgiven some members of our family for saying cruel things, but he will never forget. I just want to hear what others have to say about this. AND whoever wants to answer is fine, but only serious answers please. Thank you in advance....

For someone who believes in God, this seems the right thing to do; expelling idol-worshippers.
But by today's standards, wouldn't this Mohamedan act be considered violent and unjust?

Concerning:

"When you consider that claims such as "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" and then have frauds like Haekel modify drawings and add fish gills to embryos to justify his fuhrer's "ethnic cleansing". When vestigal organs once claimed as useless (such as the appendix) are later found essential. When "apemen" such as Nebraska man (pig tooth), Piltdown man (hoax based on human skullcap and orangutan's jaw), and Ramapithecus (extinct orangutan) are presented as missing links. Makes me wonder what else evolutionists are trying to pass as reliable science. "

ARE YOU AWARE THAT "ONYTOGENY RECAPITUALTES PYLOGENY" WAS DISCREDITED ABOUT 100 YEARS AGO???

EVERY BIOLOGIST KNOWS THAT ONYTOGENY DOES NOT RECAPITUALTE PYLOGENY.

Ok, I have seen several questions now about marriage having nothing to do with religion. "why can't gays be married, don't mention religion in your answer", "why don't others know about civil marriage, it has nothing to do with church", etc.

MY QUESTIONS:
Does anyone know the origin of marriage?
Without belief in God, why get married? Is it just for tax deduction?
God introduced marriage in the Old Testament, that is the one concept that seems to have made it through all of the other break-offs and distortions into other religions. Every religion has a stance on marriage, so that being said, how does marriage NOT have something to do with religion?

Please clear this up for me.

A woman was near death from a special kind of cancer. There was one drug that the doctors thought might save her. It was a form of radium that a druggist in the same town had recently discovered. The drug was expensive to make, but the druggist was charging ten times what the drug cost him to produce. He paid $200 for the radium and charged $2,000 for a small dose of the drug. The sick woman's husband, Heinz, went to everyone he knew to borrow the money, but he could only get together about $ 1,000, which is half of what it cost. He told the druggist that his wife was dying and asked him to sell it cheaper or let him pay later. But the druggist said, "No, I discovered the drug and I'm going to make money from it." So Heinz got desperate and broke into the man's store to steal the drug for his wife.

Should Heinz have broken into the laboratory to steal the drug for his wife? Why or why not?

But isn't really the Anti- GOD People that slander, wether it's here on this site or in Public?

Many of the Atheists say terrible names to other Yahoo Posters that love GOD

Here's a few more (GOD Deniers)
Ward Churchill- Slanders Swears dis-honors his country
Bill Maher-Dis-honors his country slams religion, Ridicules our President
Dawkins- Slams religion, gives people the finger has not one ounce of class in representing Atheism.
Rosie O'Donnell-Loud Mouth Classless. Speaks out of ignorance
Bad example for the homosexual Community.

Christians that never slam show Class and decency
Joel and Victoria Osteen
The Billy Graham Family
Presdient and Laura Bush
Smokey Robinson
Rick Warren.
Dr Charles Stanley.

So based on this how can you dare say Christians are ridiculing people.

It is so easy, just forgive someone who has hurt you. I mean really forgive them, go to them and give them a fresh start (for no ulterior motive).

Have you ever experienced that proof of God?

(Yes my previous 5 or 6 questions were derived from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. )

If you answer "he has always been here" why is it so hard to believe that everything he supposedly created has always been here. A god would be much more complicated than say a big bang. I don't want to be offensive I just want to know what a Christian would answer when I ask him, "Where did God come from?"

Im simply referring to the date of Dec. 21, 2012, a date that many ancient civilizations claim to be the end of all, and even more recent things, such as that computer system developed to predict stock market fluctuations, and ended up being an accurate predicter of major global events in general, I fail to remember the name at the moment, sorry.

You think the bible tells us all we must do is accept jesus - WRONG!

Sermon on the mount - Jesus explains very clearly that to those on the left that did not help other people in their lives, he will say "Depart from me, ye who are cursed into the fires of the devil for i was hungry, and you did not feed me, i needed clothes and you did not clothe me..." And he will say to those on the right the exact opposite. There now christians, one way that proves we MUST, MUST Help others to go to heaven. And yet ye will say "No, good deeds don't get you to heaven" well guess what, Jesus disagrees (^^^).
