It is so easy, just forgive someone who has hurt you. I mean really forgive them, go to them and give them a fresh start (for no ulterior motive).
Have you ever experienced that proof of God?
(Yes my previous 5 or 6 questions were derived from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. )

What harm would it do to try it, simply give someone a fresh start and see if you feel God in your heart. ( do not limit yourself to Religious Empires that define God in a way that scares you and benefits their empires.)

Does anyone really think that we are inherently a forgiving species?
Sure some bright folks forgive for ulterior motives. -

You've only given proof of the human trait of forgiveness. It in no way proves the existence of God. Faulty logic.

Sorry, that is not proof of god. People can forgive people without divine intervention.
Your proof makes as much sense as saying that a god must exist because green is the color green.
Your attempts at logic are actually giving christians a bad name.

Life, Humanity......................
if proof that God exist...
you don't need religion to prove that !
If FACT...
Universal Truth has eliminated religion from Spirituality a long time ago, but people like you can't comprehend the Truth, so you turn to religion and religious false promises, lies and deceptions, for the hope of going to Heaven;
but...................
You are correct about Forgiveness !
but there is NO forgiving people who, year after year, continue to believe in religion...
Here's the Solution and HOW to eliminate religion from YourLife and start Your journey back home, to Heaven:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.
<<<<<<<<<< LOVE & Forgiveness >>>>>>>>
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.
atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions = paganism = wicca.

I believe in God, but I don't exactly see the argument here. Are you saying that you really feel God's presence when you forgive someone? That may be, but I doubt if everyone would agree to describe it as "God's presence."

Compassion is wonderful Wayne. It is a commendable part of the Cristian faith. However It is part of human nature, and needn't be explained by supernatural means.
That we love and respect our fellow man is enough, isn't it? Can't we live with compassion and reason as our guides. should we really complicate things with the teachings of the ancient Israelites, as filtered through thousands of years of troubled translations?

I'm an atheist, and I've known that for years.
No god necessary.
(In fact, I've taught this simple wisdom to many a Christian in my life)
Edit - And what would be the ulterior motive for an atheist? We know that yours is to please and gain the favor of a god...
