Is there ever a time where you say to yourself I'm just not gonna turn the other cheek? Do you ever feel that turning the other cheek is a bit over rated?

1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16.

Why is it that people are not experiencing the abundant life?

2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.

Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.

3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.

4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" John 1:12

Over the past couple of days, I have seen the statistic of 75% of prison being filled with Christians.

Regardless of whether one believes that this is due to the fact that many people in America claim Christianity as their faith, yet they do not practice, is not the issue.

I was just wondering, can someone find me a site with this statistic? I would like a credible source, not some anti-Christian website.

Thanks in advance for the help!

(John 10:31) Once again the Jewish leaders picked up stones in order to kill Jesus.

(John 10:32) But he said, "I have shown you many good things that my Father sent me to do. Which one are you going to stone me for?"

(John 10:33) They answered, "We are not stoning you because of any good thing you did. We are stoning you because you did a terrible thing. You are just a man, and here you are claiming to be God!"

(John 10:34) Jesus replied: In your Scriptures doesn't God say, "You are gods"?

(John 10:35) You can't argue with the Scriptures, and God spoke to those people and called them gods.

Jesus saw a crowd chasing down a woman to stone her and approached them. "What's going on here, anyway?" he asked.
"This woman was found committing adultery, and the law says we should stone her!" one of the crowd responded. "Wait," yelled Jesus. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
Suddenly, a stone was thrown from out of the sky, and knocked the woman on the side of her head. "Aw, c'mon, Dad..." Jesus cried, "I'm trying to make a point here!" I thought that if Jimbo can do it, so can I.

Can they tell other people a secret told to them outside of a confessional, even if they swear they'll keep it a secret? What's the rule?

I saw on a Fig Newton wrapper just now that it is "Made with 100% More Real Fruit". I suppose that the fruit was LESS real before, and now they have increased its "realness" by a quantifiable amount? Is this practical metaphysics? Was the fruit partially in another dimension before, and was therefore less real? So that's what happened to those calories!

OK, this not really a spiritual question, so lets make it one by approaching this from a spiritual standpoint, such as, if the fruit is real, but I don't believe in in, will Jesus still love me after I become fat?

Be creative. I'm so bored that I'm reading candy wrappers.

I don't mean this in a snide way. But seriously, at other times in history Christians were persecuted, and when that came to an end, many people joined that were perhaps less sincere than those who were willing to be a Christian in spite of persecution. I'm just curious what you think about the effects of persecution on a religion, compared to the effects of non-persecution.

And yes, I'm quite aware that in some places persecution of Christians continues. But it is not the norm.

If you reject the truth, and spread false claims and rumors about the mormon church, you could be in big trouble when you die. If I were you I would want to know for sure before I started believeing what others say. Find out for yourself.

Yesterday a fellow from Holland posted the claim that there is,citing Justice department statistics that demonstrate that 98% of all prison inmates in the U.S. note some religious affiliation upon entry. But what would comparable statistics from Holland say? Since the country is almost entirely atheistic, isn't a matter of common sense - even without figures from the Dutch government - that almost all incoming inmates are atheists? Would this suggest a causal link between atheism and crime? Or take India as another example. Surely prison statistics there would indicate that almost all prison inmates cite Hinduism as their religious affiliation. Thus, for Markyy's logic to hold up,we must argue that in the Low Countries and Scandanavia, there exists a direct link between atheism and crime - surely almost all criminals are atheists - and we must argue in India there exists a direct link between Hinduism and criminality. It seems obvious this is shoddy logic. What are your views? Serious.

Many marriages end because the husbands suspect their wives are unfaithful. Sometimes the husbands even murder the wives.

But the bible, specifically Numbers 5:11-31, describes the proper way for husbands to find the truth.

If a man suspects his wife of being unfaithful, he reports it to the priest. The priest then makes her drink some "bitter water." If she is guilty, the water makes her thigh rot and her belly swell. If innocent, no harm done -- the woman is free and will "conceive seed." In any case, "the man shall be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

Why don't more christians follow the bible? It seems very strange to me. And it would certainly be cheaper than paternity tests. It seems like one of the most useful services a priest/minister can perform for his community.
