No. The notion is silly; money represents work, and that is hardly evil.

The love of money is allegedly the root of all evil. Your comment about "give me all your money, so that you don't have to bear all that evil alone" is hilarious!
Personally, I don't love money, but I do love being able to acquire what I want, when I want it, and, unfortunately, that causes me to have to deal with money. I'd prefer that people just gave me what I want so I wouldn't have to deal with money.

Money is not the root of all evil - the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil. Money is necessary in this world to survive, and the workman is worthy of his hire(Bible again) but to devote your life to getting money would be a very bad thing, as it would take over your life. Sorry, sunshine.

You can have money and you can have stuff (toys, cars, boats, etc...) just don't let them have you.
When you allow anything to come in-between you and the living God, your eternity is in grave danger.
1 Tim 6:10
10 The love of money causes all kinds of evil. Some people have left the faith, because they wanted to get more money, but they have caused themselves much sorrow.

Heb 13:4-5
5 Keep your lives free from the love of money , and be satisfied with what you have. God has said,
"I will never leave you;
I will never forget you."

No. Money is a temptation for those who are trying to live righteous lives, according to the Bible. But evil also has roots in pride and dishonesty.
I spent or gave away all my evil money already, otherwise I'd give you some.

I would say the quest for power is the root of all evil. Whether that be power over a single being or all of society.
Some might say money is power, so there is a definitely an association between the two.

In my opinion, money is just a piece of paper. Although, it can make your life easier it doesn't have to control it. I think it's all on what you make of it. So, in reply to your question, I do not think money is the root of all evil...I think people just need something to blame their problems on besides on themselves.

Sometimes I do think so.. It seems some people would do anything for money. But then again, you'd have to be a pretty rotten person to sell out in the first place, so I don't know.
P.S. Let me know where to send your check. :-P

Its not money itself. Its the love of money. I can have tons of money as long as its not my master and all I think about.
