Anyone believe God exists but doesn't listen to prayers or care about human lives?

Yeah, I did mean "deist" but I thought this was better than saying "Any deists in the house?"

I am a Deist. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that God “Does not care about human lives.” I do not think we can no what God cares about. However, based on the beauty of the creation and the fact that he/she/it created us, I do believe he/she/it cares about us. I just do not think that God intervenes in human affairs.

I am Atheist however if I were to believe in any sort of 'God' it would be an impersonal god that has no human characterstics or emotions and is simple a mysterious or unexplained force rather than a human-like dictator who is concerned with the everyday actions and thoughts of human beings.

isn't that what deists believe? oh, I am not sure, what the label is but I know there are some who believe in the energy of life and creation, not a personified god

God is just a superstition. The idea that there is a god, but he just doesn't mettle in human affairs is really a cop out. Such a god is really undefined. You're basically saying, "There's something out there somewhere". That's about as generic a statement as one can make.

You're taking refuge in the fact that your belief can never truly be challenged because you aren't really saying anything.

There is a long history of this type of belief -- as someone has already said, we usually call it "Deism." And one of the oldest and most famous examples of this belief is the philosopher Aristotle's Unmoved Mover (or "God"), who is really very impersonal.
