If the bible is true and we all have to face a Holy God on Judgment Day that sees lust as adultery (Matt 5:28) and hatred as murder (1 Jn 3:15), will you be innocent or guilty?

Will you go to heaven or hell?

And is it true that God is rich in love and mercy and sent His Son Jesus to take our punishment on the cross and to rise from the dead and defeat death to save us from Hell?

And is it true that He now commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31), turn and forsake our sins and to trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior?

This it what someone told me. Is this TRUE?????????????

Most Christians, Jews, and Muslims will tell you that Adam first sinned when defyling God's perfect Garden with temptation and defience of God's command. That is when sin entered the world.

My theory is different.

In the bible, it is written that God created light, earth, the garden, animals and man and said that it was good. By "good" it means perfect since a perfect creator would only proclaim a perfect product "good."

The problem is that in the bible, it said that Adam felt LONLINESS. Many theologians overlook this but I found it odd...

How could man, God's perfect creation find lonliness or imperfection in God's perfect garden?

This was apparantly before the introduction of the temptation of the serpent.

So answer this, How could Man, feel lonliness in a perfect garden?
Is the creation story flawed.
If not, what is the answer?

While I as gone over the Holiday Weekend I stayed at a 5 Star resort which was inundated with hundreds of kids, with parents that brought buckets of toys, strollers for 6 and 7 yr olds to sit in
around the pool.

What I observed was many Fat Kids for one screaming at there parents, if they did not get there way... parents not taking the time to make there kids talk quietly, respect other people around them, letting children eat like little pigs no manners and on Memorial Day not even observing the day...

If Parents are not teaching Kids about GOD, Manners, Respect for other's what are they teaching them??

The question itself is sounds childish, i know, but this seems to be a very difficult question for most people. I am 28 years old and have no idea what i want to do for a living. I know that there are many people much older than myself with this same problem - we find ourselves working a job or jobs we hate and have no idea why. For those of you who have found your calling: have you always known, or did it come to you later in life? What is the best way for a person to find their true calling in life?
Much love and thanks.

I see this claim made sometimes, usually by theists of the christian persuasion. I have asked for evidence but so far received none.

Personally I don't feel like I have to worship anything. Is this a feature of the theist mindset?

many protestants contend that all sin is equally offensive, but that would ignite the loics that all good works would be equall glorifying....

and i believe it was said "everyone will be paid according to what they have done"....and will be rewarded differently..

so, why would it make sense for there to be levels of charity and "heaven" so to speak.....but not levels or degrees of evil and sin???

of LIFE today?

I woke up in a horrible mood. I prayed instantly....I know that if I did not have the Lord's strength I would be a complete mess. But God has given me His strength, and even though this day has had many bumps, I know with Him, I am reminded of His wonderful faithfulness! And how it is NEW every morning!
How about you?

Lamentations 3:22-24
22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."

God's cure for lepers: Get two birds. Kill one. Dip the live bird in the blood of the dead one. Sprinkle the blood on the leper seven times, and then let the blood-soaked bird fly off. Next find a lamb and kill it. Wipe some of its blood on the patient's right ear, thumb, and big toe. Sprinkle seven times with oil and wipe some of the oil on his right ear, thumb and big toe. Repeat. Finally kill a couple doves and offer one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. Leviticus 14:2-52

Are people REALLY surprised to hear about these and other Goddesses, Allah etc on a Religion and Spirituality Q&A forum?
Does this strike anyone else as a bit silly? What are people supposed to ask about in here?

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) ............For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

Is it because when we sin rebelliously, we spiritually die/blind & then physically die, & our soul goes somewhere other than heaven after physical death?

Is it because when we are born spiritually we are whole; body, soul & spirit (yet body still corruptable, but when we physically die, our soul/spirit goes to heaven?
