Isaiah 7:14 -

"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."

I dont ever recall Jesus being named Immanuel. I dont recall Jesus ever being referred to as Immanuel. Im aware of the fact that "Immanuel" in Hebrew means "God with us" - but again, I do not recall Jesus being named "God with us" or being referred to as such....

That being the case, how can you say that Jesus is the Messiah, when he failed to fulfill this and several other prophecies??

If Jesus were TRUE man and not a demigod, this natural state of humans would seem to be essential to the process

Someone just asked a question about Hitler going to heaven and I'm wondering how sincere he could have been if he had decided to repent on his deathbed. How sincere would he have had to be to convince God he meant it? How much do you have to believe in your heart? Faith the size of a mustard seed?

(However, Hitler committed suicide, so it's kind of a moot point, but maybe he had the chance?)

Especially since atheists believe man made up God, so really that just means that humans created an imaginary charcter they can't understand.

...proof the Bible is uninspired works of man?

It's a fact that when the Bible was written man ruled the world, and women were seen as second class.

That taken together with the assumption that God could have no gender should show that the fact that God is written as a man should show that the Bible God was created by man.

Not to mention God's apparent love for virgin women haha.

Why did he create the clitoris? I mean, think about it. Wouldn't it have been far easier to create woman without the "fun button" that has no other reason to exist than sexual pleasure? Why make it pleasureable at all? Does god have the nastiest sense of humour ever? And please spare me the "woman has free-will" arguement about waiting until marriage and then having the pleasure....that's like giving a 2 year old an ice cream cone to hold and then saying "Now don't lick that!".

I am not, but I wish I were. Ever since I've started paying attention, I have noticed that many Christians, especially Catholics always seem to do the right thing when it comes to moral decisions. This fact was a real shock to me when I noticed that many Catholic girls will choose to do good and right EVEN WHEN there is a HUGE physical urge to do otherwise. This can only be the result of some very heavy-duty brainwashing.

I also notice that one the other side, most Atheists and non-religious people regularly give in to their physical urges, even when a logical thinking person can see the negative effects of such actions. They have two slogans that I have heard. One is, "If it feels good, do it." The other is, "It's not wrong if you don't get caught."

My conclusion it is clear to me that the belief that there is an all powerful all knowing God that you will one day have to answer to is a good thing for mankind.

Are you Brainwashed? Can you now see that it is a good thing?

The big bang theory began with the hypothesis of Father Georges Lemaitre's interpretation of Genesis 1:3. Is it the fact that it has been validated scientifically that makes it an anathema to Christians?
