A Christian.
On the serious side, I think happy people tend to be happy regardless of what their job is and miserable people tend to be miserable regardless of what their job is. At least that's how it has worked for me. It wasn't until I changed my attitude about life and accepted that things weren't going to be perfect, but they were still pretty good, that I truly became happy. So I wouldn't say that people have a one "true" calling, but rather, that God can use anyone regardless of their occupation as long as they want to do His will.
If you're not a Christian, sorry if none of this applies to you. I only know what's worked for me.

I'm still growing up @ 39, but really only want to be a great husband and father.
To accomplish my goal, I am seeking out God, and want to be a Godly man, and think this must happen before I am the best husband and father that I can be. Everything in my life starts with becoming Godly.

See if you can find something you enjoy doing and make a career out of it. It may or may not pay well, but you will look forward to getting out of the bed in the morning. That's the best advice I have for someone in your position.

PRAY ABOUT IT!!!!!! God knows what He is doing, ask Him for some advice!
I am going to be a kid's pastor! God has given me the talents I need for my career, and He has equipped you to do what He has planned for you!
Originally, I wanted to be a vet, but once I worked at a vet's office, I realized it wasn't the career for me. When I started college, I just knew I was supposed to be a kid's pastor. I've worked in kids ministry since i was 13 (I'm almost 20 now), and I can't see myself doing anything else.
Good luck!

Try participating in numerous different activities. That's the only way you'll really find out what you like doing most.

Think of what you really like to do. Because we have to work so much of the day, at least you would be doing something you like. Go for it.
