I don't think that any prediction is accurate and don't believe the world will end any time soon unless we cause it's destruction. The most likely way the world could end other then by human arrogance is if an asteroid big enough were to hit the Earth.Which is also a possibility. But there won't be any angels or trumpets or magical things happening in either case.

The "world" cannot end until the planet is destroyed. I think most people characterize the end of the world as the end of humans. Most people unfortunately see humans as the most important thing out there. That is simply not the case.
The sun will expand and envelope the Earth. Even if a meteor hits us and kills most or all life the planet will still be there. SO the world will not end.

You have read it in the Hopi Calendar which is also the same predictions as the Mayan civilizations.
Civilization is like a balloon progressing till it reaches the point of bursting. It is not however the end of it all but only to start a new world and another generation of mankind that will start evolving from its raw innocence to intelligence. Learning from our mistakes, they may be the people who will really work together in peace with one consciousness and in harmony. You may even be one of them who would be starting anew. Do not take the events with fear but rather welcome it with your joyful heart. And you might still be having a longer life to enjoy the world after that.

I do not think it will end any time soon. We are quite adaptive even after catastrophic disasters, wars and all.
Even Christ while on earth said he did not know the time or date; only the father in heaven for those people of religion here. As for Nostradamus and other seers, everyone force fits or "shoe horns" current events or events well after their time to somehow line up with their phrases or quatrains that were elusive or jibberish before.
Well whether you agree or disagree Nostradamus and his contemporaries failed to predict one thing; that their writings would be making tens of millions for publishers and authors in the 20, 21st centuries partailly trying to predict the worlds end!

If there is any truth to those predictions, I figure that they are pointing to the Great Tribulation, or halfway into it, something like that. According to the Bible and the way I understand it, the Earth has at least 1007 years left. That's taking into account the Great Tribulation ( 7 years) and then the Second Coming ( 1000 years of the Millenium. ) The Great Tribulation is going to change life as we know it as we have two major things coming around: Satan's manifestation on Earth as he is no longer accessing heaven, and God's judgement on the Earth to "tribulate" what's left of man's living on Earth without God's prescence.

2012 is the "sentalia aeon" check my spelling it's when the opening of the galaxy is closed...and the constellations come full circle....this is the time given to the mayans by the fallen as a date of the end of the age...but the fallen can't know only guess....it could happen sooner or later....the fig tree as jesus said was THE sign of the end of the age was planted in 1948....that generation shall not pass til all is fulfilled....time will tell.
and the "end" is just the beginning. no more death, disease, starvation, evil etc....something to look forward to not be afraid of.

Before that, it was y2k.
Before that it was 5/5/200. there was even a book of that title. Probably available fro real cheap on ebay.
And those people in the 90s who sat around some ampitheater waiting for "the rapture."
If it ends now, it will be because we blow ourselves up.

It will never end ..The only change to take place will be the restoration of all things...If there is a rapture so be it but I think it is highly unlikely that there is an escape from God's purpose here.. Rapture has nothing to do with salvation ....

did you hear about the millerites case? the world was supposed to end in 1843, and it never did? human kind always seems o bounce back regardless of the threats posed to us.
i think that no one knows the date, because there is no set date, our morality level when pushed past acceptance will determine the end of days.
REMEMBER, GOD COMES WHEN THE ABILITY TO WARD OFF EVIL REACHES IT'S LOWEST POINT.
