What you have ointed out here is the paradox of suffering. christians, or religious people in general can never provide a good answer. The best one there is (from a religious point of view) has already been posted, and that is "we cannot know god's will" however that answer should not satisfy you.

allow me to elaborate just a bit, and I apologize for using a tired example, but it is a fitting one. With some 80 or 90 percent of the population of the United states classifying themselves as religious, it is safe to assume that just about everyone in New orlens was religious and believed in god, yet he did nothing to save them. It is also reasonable to assume that people in that sict drowned in their attics while tearfully begging god to save them.

People who are not of faith will realize that either A: god did not have the power to stop the hurricane, so therefore he is not god, or B: god is all powerful, created the hurricane, subjected those religious people, his servants, to death, and therefore must be evil. or C: there is no god.

religious people will now perform the following metnal backflip in order to reconcile what we can readily observe about our world with their faith: We cannot use our own moral definitions to judge god, he is mysterious and we are incapable of knowing his plan.

but wait, don't we use out moral definitions to describe him as good in the first place? so we can use our judgement to call him good but not bad? so whenever something good happens to us its all 'praise the lord' but whenever there is a tragedy god takes no blame because he is mysterious?

the concept of suffering and evil is wholly incompatible with a beneveolent and all poweful god, to actively engage in the cognitive dissonance required to manitan faith and accept evil is not only a disservice to free thought but it is also willful ignorance.

the easiest solution, the one that requires no assumptions or mental backflips or cognitive dissonance, is simply that god does not exist. It answers all the questions.

First of all, why specify children? This has nothing to do with the question you are asking, other than to attempt to evoke an emotional response. So, the real question is, why does God let people die? Because dying is an integral part of human nature. When a child dies, of course there is great sorrow for his/her family. But fundamentally it isn't any different from anyone else dying. Humans are biological creatures. Biological creatures die, sometime when young, sometime when older. Your other question is "why does God choose to heal some people and not others?". No-one knows the answer to that question. He heals some children and some adults. None of us can know the mind of God. Perhaps someday we will understand better. Perhaps not.

God works through people to save people. The child that's sick has doctors and nurses treating him/her. So maybe God helps the doctors to save the child.
As for the other child, maybe there wasn't anyone there to help him/her. And of course now you find yourself asking "why didn't God "put" someone there to help the child who had the accident?"
Well the only answer I can come up with is that it was just that persons time to go.
I know that that answer probably wont satisfy you, but sometimes you just have to trust that God does everything for a reason, and then move on.
I hope that this helps.

If you want to experience God's power, you have to seek Him.
I had a miracle some two weeks ago. I had chickenpox and my friends could not believe it. They thought they were rashes since I did not have what they expected.
This may sound dumb, but if you were in my place, you would have known what I'm talking about.
May God, who came down to redeem anyone who believes in Him save you and bless you. AMEN.
(Sorry for any grammatical error. I don't really have good grammar. But I hope the message has gone through. By God's help, I will improve on my grammar.)

because God only intervenes when He is welcomed to. If the parents tell Him to get lost, He can do nothing but let that family do as it pleases.. free will, remember?

but if you ALLOW Him into your life, ask Him to help... He does.

He does not kill children. the devil knows each call on a persons life, if that call is big, then the devil wants that kid GONE. they are a threat to him.

God doesnt want the child to die any more than the parent does. He created each one for a purpose. a child dying is one more thing that happens against the will of God.

Well, in order to believe the Bible in the first place, God etc...
it requires faith... agree? well, It's the same case scenario, faith you just believe that God has a reason rather than trying to understand it. In order to believe in God, the Bible, ANY religion whatsoever you must also believe in things you can't understand. Example: I won't trust a perfect stranger to trade wallets (say I have one million $s) with me b/c they probably want to do so for their own advantage; however, if my friend tells me to trade her my wallet with one million dollars in it for her wallet with 50 bucks and a peice of paper I'll do it b/c I know she loves me and would only want what's best for me, I would believe that whatever is on the piece of paper would be more beneficial to me than my million bucks... even if I don't understand. - faith can't be based on the actual instance or your own understanding... rather a person. Besides, the truth is that regardless of whether or not a child is saved miraculously or not they are going to eventually die... Saving the physical body is still only temporary... get it?

How come he created some black and some white? How come he created some handicapped and some normal?
Where do such questions end? The word create explains it all. He created US and not vice versa.
Since he created us, he can decide whatever he wants as to what should happen to us. It´s than our choice to decide whether we´d like to appreciate it or not.
If you miraculously became rich, would you wonder why ?

Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Just like how good things happen to bad people. Its part of life. Sometimes children die to help others learn to appreciate life. Sometimes children live so that they can learn to appreciate their own life or even how others can see a miracle happen and they can learn.

Overall, I think that God has things planned for us. They are always to teach us something. Even if they are sad things, they can help us learn to appreciate things. If it is a child's time to go, then it is. Life is too short yes, but we need to learn to appreciate the time we're given.

He already has saved them. They are 'sleeping' until the resurrection. What is this with instant gratification with humans? God does not intervene with our affairs now. But there will come a time when he will, and all will rise again thanks to his son.

Judging God based on what someone says is or is not His will is a poor excuse for not finding out for yourself who He really is and what His will is for you.
