The purpose of life is to WORSHIP God. Think about it.....are we really here to live from one Friday to another? Or to accumulate the world's wealth? No. There has to be something bigger than that. I would recommend an EXCELLENT dvd/cd called "what is the purpose of life" by Khalid Yasin. He answers that question in the most informative way. It has changed the lives of thousands of people (for the better....giving them a purpose and being able to identify that). Honestly I find answers like....."be good to your fellow man....do good deeds....etc etc." a bit corny. You can tell the person saying it has not put much thought into it because WHAT IF....everyone by some miraculous reason became good to their fellow man, did good deeds, etc etc......THAN WHAT would be the purpose of life? Obviously there is more to it. We were not put on this earth to just fulfill our hedionistic desires, there is a bigger purpose than this.

To be happy.
I mean it. Happiness is the major purpose of our existence anyway you look at it.
If you are religious you are supposed to live righteously and glorify God. Why? So you can go to heaven and be with God. Why? Cause in heaven people are supposed to be eternally happy and that makes God happy cause he loves us,right? Happiness all around.
If you are an Atheist the only thing that matters is the here and now. Thus, your happiness in the "now" is, once again, all that matters, cause your existence ends with your death. If you really believe there is nothing after this life, than making the most of this life (being as happy as possible) is your primary objective.
So, no matter which way you look at it, the universal purpose of our existence is to be genuinely happy.
Good luck to all in this pursuit.

Life is all about making your own choices. Whether to go to work naked or in a chicken suit, to see what happens if you put a rat in the microwave, to poke your manager in the eye with a banana or a custard pie. You live and die by your decisions (or lack thereof, in the case of whether or not to ignore that 'live wires' sign). Then afterwards judgment comes. Haha

We were born by God, for God, to have relationship with Him.
There is a empty gap in the lives of those who do not know such relationship. People try to fill that gap with wealth, family,
music, sport, drugs or alcohol, and many more things, but man's greatest need is for forgiveness, by the God who created them, who sent His Son into the world to pay the punishment which we deserved.

Now the reason were here
As man and woman
Is to love each other
Take care of each other
When love walks in the room
Everybody stand up
Oh its good, good, good
Like brigitte bardot
Now look at the people
In the streets, in the bars
We are all of us in the gutter
But some of us are looking at the stars
Look round the room
Life is unkind
We fall but we keep gettin up
Over and over and over and over and over and over
Me and you, every night, every day
Well be together always this way
Your eyes are blue like the heavens above
Talk to me darlin with a message of love
Now the reason were here
Every man, every woman
Is to help each other
Stand by each other
When love walks in the room
Everybody stand up
Oh its good, good good
Say I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
Talk to me darlin

We are more than replicating molecules, of course. It is why those peddling that as our raison d'etre never get far with that particular sales pitch. Men and women are born knowing they are meant for more.
I am here to love. I think that is why most of us are here.

I have thought about it.
Because certain molecules formed that were capable of replicating themselves. And because that replication was not always perfect.
Sorry if you do not like the answer, but tough, that's reality.
