Calling Vice President Cheney a living fossil isn't exactly accurate, as the undead are neither alive nor dead.

Sounds like we have stupidity coming and going. Like all things, the carbon-dating is only as good as the scientists and there cannot be living fossils. Fossils are mineralized remains, not possible to be remains and yet still alive.

How is carbon dating flawed? Carbon decomposes at a certain rate.

fos·sil (fŏs'əl)

A remnant or trace of an organism of a past geologic age, such as a skeleton or leaf imprint, embedded and preserved in the earth's crust.

NO, fossils can not be alive. By definition

Carbon dating is not flawed but neither is it 100% accurate. Fossils are dead by definition, if it wasn't dead before the rock formed around it, it soon would be. So just what do you mean?

You know carbon dating is only good for about 50,000 years. It takes a little longer than that to make a fossil. They use other radiological methods on most of them.
