its so simple and untechnical, i cannot think of a response to it, help me out, it goes like this:

"they should not have had unprotected sex if they did not a baby. abortion should be outlawed because the parents (or whatever you call pregnant people) should be responsible and own up to their mistake."

well its just to simple, i dont know, im drawing a blank...

he is basically saying, its thier own fault they pregnant, and they should own up thier mistake.

and rape wont solve this either, he just dismissed it by saying that they give morning after pills to the raped women, and that that is fine.

Control over the body can be exercised to prevent pregnancy in the first place. Except the the rare case of pregnancy by rape, a child-carrying woman has made choices of control over her body that have resulted in the pregnancy. She has chosen whether to have sex and whether to use birth control. She has the full right to make these choices, and I would not want to see those rights taken from her. But these control-choices she has already made have ushered in a whole new scenario in which not simply her personal preferences, but also the life of another human being is not at stake.

The mother's first two matters of control-sex and birth control-were personal and private. The issue of abortion is not personal and private. It directly involves the life of another person and therefore becomes the concern of a decent society. As society would protect the life of the mother is someone tried to kill her, so is must protect the life of the child is someone tries to kill him.

Just a little clarification that may fill in the blank page the false priests of Rome gave you instead of the wondrous infinite akashic record that is yours if you strive to reinitialize.
A "pro-abortionist" would require every hominid female to abort the bio-shells of nascent people. An "pro-life" advocate may not actually understand the burden some females feel bringing another soul into this wheel where everyone steals and I tear my heart open just to feel (MY Lord Yeshua Bar Josef did). I am sure you know the story of the babes nursing @ dry bosoms gospel scripture so forgive me if I can not quote it chapter and verse.
I choose to be FRUITFUL and (then) multiply.

Don't know what to tell ya if your looking at statistics! How's it possible to have a 98- 99% success rate with oral contraceptives, depakote shots or patches and IUDS(This is the national statistic for birth control according to the board of gynecology and obstetrics.) and a 72% failed contraception rate especially when it comes to statistics on abortion? Can you say; either bad statistical information or just plain ole irresponsibility and lack of wisdom and moral guidance. Own up people we live in a very premiscuous, heartless, self seeking and absorbed society. For those of you that have a heart, you'll seek the truth inside yourselves. This isn't just between a woman and her doctor. Its a moral issue! Why? Could it be murder? For those of you that believe in it,will you possibly change your minds? Times change, people change. And how many lives will have been lost by that time.Do you need to get a brain with a heart or?I say wallow in ignorance, hell awaits! Were not talking about something that lacks importance here, Were talking about human life. What is the value of a human life? When is it a human life?Hmm.Abortions don't just effect (according to you pro-choicers) a so called peice of tissue . It happens to much more mature babies in utero( fetuses) also.Like 5 months along. Is it life then? And the women that regret it, Is that OK? I read what Jiloth had to say.Visualize it, oh my god!!! It hurt my heart! Can't you see? Peices of fully mature babies tossed like garbage ripped out of the wombs of women or burned out?It does affect lives in disasterous proportions. It affected his life, and he's a man that seen the "killing fields" of hospitals! And what about the women that choose this? Are they going to be told anything not in favor when counseled about abortion?Probably only in church! Are they all OK with this afterwards? Hell NO! I know I was one of them.I was 14 and had a abortion at 5 months along . Why? I was irresponsible! I needed some guidance. Im now 44.I seriously regret it! I ask GOD to forgive me still! It almost took me to the brink of suicide! They are not a good choice even if the woman or girl feels it is at the time. What is the reason that the baby can't be adopted? I know of women that were raped and adopted! Theres an ole saying" you can do anything if you just put your mind to it." These women that did adopt say the same thing, "Its not the baby's fault, I feel good I gave it life." Have any of you pro-choicers got any statistics on the rate of depression, suicide or mental illness from such women or girls that have had abortions?Or is that not acceptable research for abortion clinics? Research it you'll be surprised.(But then I don't know with the kind of statistics they dish out it could look like the oral contaceptive success rate vs failed contraception rate. Who do ya trust, hu?And why is abortion contagious and just the thing to do nowdays? Heres the problem, Lack of LOVE!!!Where is the love? The love of life has waxed cold! Just like the love for people of different racial ethnicity,or social status. Jewish, native americans, blacks, muslim, impoverished, the lepers, and the list goes on. Its plain to see what rules the hearts of such that agree with abortion HATE!!!

For all those in here who are always deamanding the use of logic to explain things this is prime time!

Finally someone got it right! Pro-abortion! The media will never understand that because they always call those who oppose abortion anti-abortionists, and if they are going to contiinue to do that, they should see the other side as pro-abortionists. THAT'S GOOD LOGIC! There is always and
"anti" for every "pro" and vice-versa. If they are going to call abortionists "Pro-choice" instead of anti-life, then they must give equal credence for those who oppose abortion and call them "pro-life" not anti abortion. To do anything else is to do what the secular press does all the time - word twisting or semantics to manipulate the public mind to the side they champion. It is a subtle form of marketing and very effective.

As far as the people having unprotected sex, that is a moot point. Everyone knows that protected sex still doesn't have a 100% guarantee against pregnancy. I am not sure of the percentages on faulty protection, but they are there.

Reality is that everyone who has sex protected or not knows clearly that there is a chance that a pregnancy will occur. The people who want abortion to be legal are, for the most part, those who want liberal sex with no responsibility for their actions. The instances of rape are only 1% of all abortions.
A particularly small group to protect while we are wiping out the American population for the sake of "liberated people."

I will guarantee you that if everyone who ever had an abortion
would see the terrible carnage left behind in the form of the pictures of aborted babies that I have seen there would never be another abortion done in the world unless it was done by a
sadistic person who hated children. I have seen the tiny feet and hands that were ripped from children's bodies, seen the burned bodies of salt saline abortions done on babies that were nearly full term, seen pictures of buckets full of fully formed babies thrown into closets and left to die, and much more that would be sickening to anyone who still has a heart left in them. I dare anyone who wants to be truly honest to go to a website and view these pictures, or ask me and I will send you a couple of them. NOBODY THINKS OF THE BABIES. The lie that it is only an unwanted piece of tissue is disgusting and perverted. I am talking about many babies that are not just tissue that have been murdered in the womb of their mothers without mercy by selfish people who care only for their pleasure and want no repsonsibility for their actions. SOMEONE HAS TO SPEAK UP FOR THEM!

1. If they aren't responsible enough to have safe sex, then they aren't responsible enough to raise a child.

2. A child is a CHILD - not just the consequences of a mistake.

3. No birth control is fail-safe.

4. The world is already overpopulated. Take care of the living before the might-one-day-be-living.

5. We'll talk about this some more when you're grown up.

Oh - and morning after pills are abortifacient. They should be available to everyone so late term abortions wouldn't happen, but the Christian Right won't have that.

Simple: you respond by questioning his stance just as he's questioning yours.

Ask why abortion should be acceptable in the case of rape. He's perfectly OK with ending an unwanted pregnancy under THOSE circumstances, so why not others? Is he also OK with condoms or the pill? If so, why is he all for prevention of pregnancy altogether, but not retroactive measures? If he isn't OK with birth control, why is he OK with the morning-after pill, which is retroactive birth control?

Basically, he isn't debating abortion at that point, he's debating the "sanctity" of marriage -- people shouldn't have sex unless they're married (which, incidentally, means they bought their license to screw from the church).

In other words, you're dealing with someone dodging a question, not a serious debate.

There is a disparity.

The woman will suffer much more for a mistake that is of hypothetically equal responsibility of the two parties involved. Women should not be forced to be enslaved and limmited by an unborn fetus, especially if she cannot bring a child into a healthy environment (i.e. she's way to young, she has a substance problem, she lives in poverty).

My question to Christians is - if effective sex education and birth control methods can drastically reduce abortions, why does it have to be all or nothinng? Sure, pre-marital sex is a sin, but Jesus forgives all those who ask for forgiveness, right?

I do agree to the extent that people should take responsibility for their own actions. But it's ridiculous to expect everybody to conform to abstinence. That's like trying to solve the problem of car accidents by telling people to never drive again.

A better answer to car accidents of course is to drive under a certain speed limit, don't drive when you're sleepy or drunk, obey traffic signs, wear a seat belt, get cars regularly serviced, revoke licenses for those who prove to be a threat on the road, etc. Likewise in the bedroom you should know how to properly put on a condom, how to use other birth control, sleep with a reasonable number of people in a lifetime (IMO a number in the triple digits is way too much). If somebody can't read the instructions on a condom, I can't imagine how competent they'd be at raising another human being.

It's called RESPONSIBILITY, Look into it.

That is all they are saying. It is time for people to stop being so careless and start being responsible. But there are many who are trying to take away consequences. Too many people think that we need to be able to do what ever we want with out any consequences.

Abortion should NEVER be used as a form of birth control
and only in extreme cases like if the mothers life is truly threatened by carrying the baby to term and incest. Those are the only two things that I would justify abortion for. Otherwise it is cold blooded murder.

Edit***
Come on people Nobody said that you have to RAISE the baby, if you feel that you are not ready for the baby, there are plenty of loving families who would be happy to raise the child that you want to murder.

Outlawing abortion does not take away a woman's right to choose. Women have the right to choose what happens with their bodies, they don't have to have sex. 78% of abortions are caused by failed contraceptives- if that is true and it would not surprise me, then that means that most women who have abortion are not doing it because their life is in danger or because they are victims of incest. They are having an abortion because they are selfish. Here is a better stat for you. Abstinence works 100% of the time. Women do have the right to choose not to be promiscuious if they would make that choice we would not be having this debate. They have they right to choose that their body will not be used as a sex object. They have the right to choose to make men respect their bodies, by not having sex until they are married and ready to have kids. And for those who want to be married but never have kids, tublagations and vasectomys work wonders in preventing that.

It's called RESPONSIBILITY- look into it.

Birth control is not 100% accurate. Sometimes it simply does not work. Also, sometimes women do not find out they are pregnant until several weeks after conception, so the morning after pill won't do much good.

Sorry but there is still no valid excuse to give the government the right to pass legislation saying what a woman can and cannot do with her body. It is a violation of her rights, no matter how much you want to sympathize with the fetus.
