I've recently been seeing a bizarre sentiment being tossed around here. An example is this: "A dinosaur footprint and a human footprint (fossils) were found in the same layer of sediment in a river bed. Cool huh?"

Yup. That would be cool, all right!

Problem is, not ONE of them cites a reference.
One of these morons apparently made up the claim and the other fundies figure "Wow! That's neat! I'm gonna tell everybody about this one!" and it spread like wildfire.

And then you fundies get all riled when I call you a bunch of morons when such irrefutable evidence of stupidity and gullibility among you exists!

Go ahead, morons: Gimme a citation that gives any credence whatsoever to this "extraordinary claim".

(Assuming you believe that, of course.)

If you're strong in your beliefs, you're not going to change to match their beliefs, so it's not like your own faith is in jeopardy. And if you have children, you'll want your children to find their own faith and their own path that is best for them, so wouldn't it be *better* to have them personally exposed to more than one faith?

It's just that I keep hearing all this "don't be unequally yoked" stuff and I can't get it.

Many of my answers about my personal experiences with the Mormon church have been deleted. I have used only my personal experiences and references from church history and doctrine to prove my point.

Mormons are obviously complaining because they do not understand the dark history behind their religion.

Do moderators actually read the questions they are deleting or just delete anything that is flagged? Do they delete questions because of their own personal biases or is the Mormon church putting pressure on them not to expose the truth?

Do you believe they are possibly messages to us, definitely messages to us, false messages to us, or nonsense?
I believe in them personally but am curious to hear others opinions. Every Marian apparition approved by the Catholic Church has been one where Mary asks us to get back to Christ. Never does she ask for anything else.

I am in desperate need of a few words of advice, and since I have no one in this life I can turn to...maybe a few of you kind hearted people can help me through this. I am a 19 year old female muslim living in America all my life. My family comes from a quite traditionally conservative family. All my life they have expected me to be arranged to someone and get married, and although I quiety nodded, I know I cannot go through with it. I have met the most amazing guy of my life, who just makes me smile no matter what. He is simply perfect for me. Problem is, he is White. I am Pakistani. I want to marry him, he even proposed to me and I said yes. Now I do not know what to do. I dont know if I have to pick him or my family, because I know I can only have one. I tried breaking off ties with him, I cried my eyes out, he just wouldnt let go. he begged me...he said his life lay in my hands, and I just couldnt stand hearing that from him and seeing him so hurt. He is willing to convert for me

okay, I've just started arelationship with my best friend, we love each other dearly. Everything about our relationship is flawless... except our religion status. I am a christian, don't get me wrong, but I don't have a particular religion, I believe in God and his word..... now, me being that, HE is Pentacostal.... I am nothing close to Pentacostal. That's a huge leap! But, he is a good christian guy, goes to church every Sunday, and that's wonderful, but I don't understand those beliefs, I don't worship God like that.... I find it, odd. I mean, It's all well and good they do it, but it's not for me. However, I love him very much, should I go to church with him and just suck it up, it's what he'd want, or should I refuse (that would disappoint him I know)? And when one marries does the wife go with the husbands religion or the other way around? It's harder than it sounds, because this is something that means a lot to him... What should I do?

Further explanation........What do you think the definition of God is? How do you describe God? What is God to you? Does Your God have a name?

I think of God as the program that allows us to BE. That was just an example.

It has been said that when a saint gets to heaven, he will be surprised by three things. First, he will be surprised to see many he did not think would be there. Second, he will be surprised that some are not there whom he expected to see. Third, he will be surprised that he himself is there.
