Disease, absolutely.
And to those parents who don't want their daughters to have the HPV vaccine because they "might have sex", may I please point out that sex isn't always a choice? I got HPV from a boyfriend who date raped me, and it would have been nice to have had a vaccine available to me prior to that.

How about (c) ~ Preventing people sticking their noses in other people's business? Why people think they have the right to 'prevent' pre-marital sex is amazing to me!
Big lumps of wood ... eyes ... etc!
Seriously, preventing disease, of course because disease affects everyone whereas sex should only interest those directly involved.

Preventing diseases. Preventing pre-marital sex is pretty much unreasonable and unrealistic. Some people don't even even get married and live with their partner for the rest of their lives without a piece of paper telling them that they are in love. Also, homosexuals cannot get married in many places. Education is key here to preventing diseases. Preventing premarital sex is not going to work, so educate, educate, educate!

Preventing disease is definitely more important and much more attainable.
Pre-marital sex is a personal choice and it's unreasonable to think that everyone will abstain from it.

Preventing each has different long term results.
Preventing disease helps people live a long life here on earth. Preventing pre-marital sex (when understood in the context of what we are called to be) helps people understand their greater calling to a holy life and eternal life.

Well think about it for a minute if we prevented pre-marital sex there would be no STD. People aren't born having STD's . So I thinks it's more important to prevent the pre-marital sex .

Preventing disease. Although in a sense, preventing pre-martial sex helps prevent the spread of STD's... it depends on how you view things.

Preventing disease is the obvious answer. Preventing disease is only helpful to people, preventing premarital sex is pointless and doesnt do anything tangible to help people. However, preventing unwanted pregnancy is as important as preventing disease IMHO.

I would say preventing disease. But if you are talking about STDs and HIV/AIDS then probably preventing pre-marital sex so that at the same time you're preventing disease.
