I do every morning. It's called congestive heart failure. Fluid in the body builds up and presses against lungs causing difficult breathing.

One caution, if it is this, don't let some nurse hook you up to an IV tree without knowing where the nearest restroom is. Just take the shot. You do NOT want to drag it all the way down a carpeted hall to the restroom.

sleep paralysis
a very common condition that affects up to 40 % of people at some point
some cases extreme some not so
the most common reports is the heaviness on the chest
this has had people believing it to be demons , witches , aliens etc
it can be accompanied with something called hypnagogic imagery which is like a waking dream

our body secretes a hormone just prior to dream sleep so we dont act out our dreams , but if we awaken too soon , or it takes effect too quickly....
we have just as you described

It's an anxiety attack and sometimes, these are warnings of a heart attack. Call your doctor immediately and tell him about this attack. Chances are he will want you to come in for tests. Also - if you're some where else besides home or at home when you have one of these attacks - call him or have someone else call him describing your symptoms. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I was coming out of a nightclub several years ago and it was like someone sat a 100 pound weight on my shoulder. It said nothing. But it stopped me dead in my trackes. For a whole week I did not smile at all. God had gotten my attention and from that day to this one I have never looked back. Thanks and glory be to God!

i know many people will scoff at this answer, but it is true nontheless...what you experienced was a demonic attack. i wont go into detail in here as to avoid the ridicule i know would result...but if you want to know more, email me. i am not from a charismatic church, or any church for that matter. but God is real and so are the angels/turned demons that were cast from heaven along with satan. i have some experience with them. i may be able to answer your questions.

My wife used to wake up at 3:00 each morning, we later learned that this was common in our area, and that "coincidentally" local witches were doing incantations or whatever from midnight to 3, and at 3:00 unleashing demons... Find a church with a deliverance ministry or a healing room and get prayer!

Did you feel like you couldn't wake up? Did you feel a creepy type presence in the room? It may have been sleep paralysis.
