the bible teaches believers to go and make disciples of all nations. i believe it is a believers responsiblity to share his faith by example and offer to share his/her faith if one is receptive. i also believe that people who harass others with aggressive tactics for the cause of religion are themselves in need of self re-evaluation.

Jesus' command to all his followers: "Go ye into the world, preach the gospel to every creature and make disciples of all nations"; IS the motivation. Also, when you know what Christians know, you do what Christians do..., with a SMILE!
I would that even YOU would come to know the man Jesus and His great sacrifice only for love for you so you wouldn't be lost from an eternity with God. The choice must be made in this life or you can't choose later and your eternity is "set".
I plead the blood of Jesus over you and claim your soul for salvation and that the mind-blinding spirits loose you and let you go and that you will have enough time of clarity that you can make a conscious informed choice without being deceived about what God is all about.
Blessings to you.

A religion is not what makes the difference. It's having a personal relationship with Christ.
I don't think we should be trying to convert anyone. No religion is better than the other. They are only beliefs, but our beliefs should line up with the true word of God.
A person should be accountable for themselves. They should pray about changing there religion instead of listening to someone else. I've discovered that what people say isn't always what God is saying. So seek God when people are trying to get you to convert.

We have been given the great commission to go and tell all the people of the earth.

Christians truly believe that there is only one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ. Out of love and concern for the rest of the human race, we try to share the good news of Jesus and pray that the Holy Spirit will work upon your heart. In a nutshell, we want everyone to go to Heaven.

Apparently some of them think you get extra credit and qualify for the express lane into heaven when you die, kinda like being able to use the HOV lane on the freeway when you have more than 1 person in the vehicle.

Each conversion is worth 200 points.
Deathbed conversions are 1000 points and a free toaster.
You can also make points for answering questions.
Even more points for best answer.
Reaching higher levels is pointless.
Deleting your answer is -1 points.
Deleting yourself resets the counter to zero.

Christians can't convert anybody ! Neither are they expected to !

God expects us to be obedient ...to live according to his divine word & to speak to others as he presents opportunities .

More importantly , he expects us to live godly lives & in so doing , let our lives speak into the lives of non believers.

Ultimately it is not people who " convert " other people , but God !

Because thats one of the things that Christians are supposed to do. To spread the word of God.
And once you experience God's love, you want everyone else to be able to share that same feeling.

Some think that it is their "duty" to convert the world. They actually believe they are trying to save our souls. I know that there is no hell so I don't worry about it.
