Jesus loves us more than we could ever love anyone, right? My love for my spouse is nothing compared to the love Jesus has for me. That's a basic tenet of Christianity.

So here's my question: If so MANY fallable, evil humans are willing to give up heaven for hell in order to comfort their loved one in hell so that they might not suffer through that torture alone (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070527175732AAoPVPH&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHwLLplFekzRP1o0utmGMLCnLLh_Vu38CEWOhaO4XKg49p1.18WYawIWD9RoHkNk2a7kg--&paid=asked&msgr_status= ), will Jesus spend eternity in hell, too, in order that HIS loved ones do not suffer that torture alone?

If not, does that mean that Jesus' love for us is less perfect that our love for our spouses?

[And don't say that Jesus "can't" go to hell or be in the presence of sin - (1) he is omnipotent and can do whatever he wants and (2) he's already been in the presence of sin merely by coming to earth.]

I asked someone why god had to send Jesus get get really messed up in order for God to forgive our sins. He said that God cant choose not to punish sin, that wouldnt be just. That means that he cannot do something. That means he is not all mighty and powerful. Is my logic flawed some how? If it is please fill me in.

In Matthew 28:10,16 the disciples are told to go to Galilee and see Jesus there. In Luke 24 they see Jesus in Jerusalem and the vicinity, and are told to stay in the city (v.49). Which one do you think is correct, and why?

Feel free to say "both", if you believe in square circles.

You couldn't answer my last question, so here's something a little simpler. Without using your crutch of "science" and without relying on an unproven THEORY (a theory is not a fact!):

Can you explain why things fall down when I let go of them?

Are there any stories from the bible, or Church history, that you would like to see made into a movie? Maybe they have never been made into movies before; or if they have, then perhaps they could be remade? What would you like to see?

Was it bought with Judas' blood money by the Jewish authorities as a place to bury foreigners (so Matthew 27:6-8)? Or did Judas buy the field, and it was called field of blood because he killed himself there (so Acts 1:18-19)?

Feel free to say it was both if you believe in square circles.

Just out of curiosity, to all atheists.
In your opinion, before the universe, before the big bang, what was there? I'm thinking a big black hole but what about before that? And then before that too?
I just can't figure out anything plausible.

Do you believe that Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible? Or do you accept the evidence to the contrary from the Bible itself? Genesis 36:31 refers to Israelite kings reigning, and thus reflects a knowledge of the monarchy. Deuteronomy 34, like the rest of the Bible, not only speaks about Moses in the third person, but also talks about his death as an event in the distant past ("never since..."). Do you accept the evidence from the Bible itself, or do you impose later traditions about authorship on the text, and why?

Don't you think every Christian in the eastern and southern USA that had ancestors that had slaves should apologize for having slaves?

Hypothetical:

You are a Christian. You live a wonderful life with your Christian spouse before illness sends you to heaven and to paradise. Some time later, you learn that your spouse was devastated by losing you and fell away from the faith. She/he died and was sent to hell.

Now, God cannot bring them to heaven to be with you, because God cannot tolerate sin in his presence. You, however, are given a choice: You may choose to stay in heaven with God or you can choose to join your spouse in hell in order to share in their torment.

Which would you choose?

(And, yeah, I know it doesn't "work that way" - that's what makes it _hypothetical_.)

Would you remain in paradise, knowing that your spouse was suffering alone, or would you choose to be at their side so that they wouldn't be alone, even if it meant an eternity of pain?

From what i read in the bible, the only 'proof' that Adam loved Eve was that he ate from the tree too. Kinda thin proof in my eyes.

The proof that they didn't is in my eyes much larger. The problems their kids had between eachother, is usually a sign of a not so loving family.

Did he truly love Eve, or was it just love by default? If you never have been in love how can you measure it? What did Adam compare love to?

Ok..I would like to know where in the bible does it talk about tattoo's and are they ok to get or not ok, someone told me they are ok as long as they aren't the name of a dead person, others say the bible says to come out from among them and be different and not to mark your bodies as the heathens do?? So as you can see I'm a bit confused on the religious aspect of it, and no I don't have a tattoo just confused??

well, i'm not sure how i act on here or if it's different then in real life, but i'm an Aries (zodiac sign) and I act like it :)

the Aries has a need to be first in everything.
We have a strong Ego, and our self-centered ways make us disliked.
as a sun sign aries can be sepperated into three groups, each with it's own personality.
My group (because i was born on march 26th)
is the Strongest force of the sign, the people in this group are said to be unusually aggresive,
which i am not (most of the time ^_^),
and Argumentative, yeah thats me :)
But capable of all the charisma that Aries is famous for!

now it's your turn :)

1st question: Is there design involved in the universE? as in, the way things work in this universe? the way the different laws compliment each other?

2nd question: if there is design in the universe, shouldn't there be a designer behind the design of the universe? anything that has design will have a designer right?
