I'm not surprised that you don't know what to do now. Sorry, but I have no answer on how to live your life without God in it anymore. Good luck.

Cheers :-)

Put down religion and pickup relation with God.We are a microwave people with a crockpot God.He likes to take time and let the seasoning set in. But we always want instant results this is what the world is pushing because of mans desire to control their own destiny instead of allowing God's
will to be carried out in their life. Some religious people do very wicked things that cause others to stumble.Dont let this be your case.Your ultimate relationship is with God your maker not men in a plight to dictate theology of their understanding. Instead of the Holy Spirit who is the one who should be leading you instead of religious demons that manifest in bad leadership.I hope that I didnt make your situation worse...This is on the assumption that you blame the religion for your unbelief. A true relationship is based on the amount of time and love devoted to someone and the interaction that is created between the 2. YOU and GOD.
Choose ye this day whom you will serve. Yourself or God.
Find out the ground rules by studying the scriptures yourself.
and using practical applications of the principals you glean and ponder the results. Warning trials are ahead all through your life its best to have God on your side. And Gods word in your heart...

Bravo! You got out of the clutches of Catholicism! No wonder you dont believe in God.
Dont do anything for awhile. I think you are hurting.
Be still, meditate on the good you learned. Perhaps God is trying to reach you, now that you realize that the Pope isnt God and priests dont have the same authority as Jesus. And Mary, blessed woman she was, is not part of any saving grace. She was just a human, a mother of a kid named Jesus.
God says "Be still, and know that I am God". He says "Wait on the Lord."
Be Blessed.

Firstly, I suggest that you evaluate your position. Why do you no longer believe in god.

If, after this evaluation, you find yourself to be certain of your new atheism, there are many good authors i can recommend. The most obvious that comes to mind is Richard Dawkins and his new book The God Delusion.

The important thing is to be happy in your disbelief, and while this may not come immediately it will develop over time once you realise life is so much more free without the concept of god.

Colossians 2:8 - See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

When I was a Catholic, I felt that there was a lot missing from my faith. Then, seven years ago, I broke away from the church, and went 'church shopping'. When I found a non-denominational church, my eyes were opened. I also have an atheist friend who goes to a Catholic church every Sunday because his parents make him. Instead of me, he just broke away from the religion all together.

If you are starting to doubt that God exists, I would encourage you to seek out churches that are non-denominational. My atheist friend found it offensive that my church talks about sex; not often, but nevertheless, they do. That should be a topic of consideration by a pastor. What’s wrong with talking about sex in a church? Well, if you’re a Catholic, I might see why; what with all the problems with priests nowadays. However, it’s all part of living a Christian life-choosing what to do with what we can do. Why not talk about possible sins?

Catholicism was also boring for me. The variety that my non-denominational church provides is fascinating. We talk about everything. I felt restrained in Catholicism. I feel unrestrained, yet empowered by the Holy Spirit with the knowledge I have gained from my church. It’s powerful stuff. Don’t give up on God. He exists, and he loves you. He will change your life. If you have some free time, maybe because of summer time, don’t waste it-look for a church that you love and would love to get involved with!

As a Roman Catholic you never heard The Truth of The Salvation Message. Priests are forbidden to tell of it. If you have any question concerning The Truth of The True Christian Faith, and of Salvation, feel free to email me... one Honest question will receive one honest answer to the best of my ability....... I can assure you, with absolute certainty, that The One True God, The Creator of all that is of and in this universe, is very real.... but neither I nor any other mortal can prove that to you... The proof you need can only come from God... I would be glad to help you get started on The Way to Him.... the rest will be between God and you.

Seek a true personal saving relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. One of the pitfalls of the Roman church is that in essence it resurrects to the OT notion of people being separated from God by an intermediary priestly class. I think that is one reason why many people have become disillusioned as a result of growing up in the Roman Catholic tradition.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

Hebrews 4:14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Maybe you believed in the denomination more than you believed in God. Maybe your strenght was more towards upholding the organization more than it was towards finding the truth. God is still real, even when we become disenchanted with church and church doctrines.

Simply pray to God and ask him to make himself real in your life, in your heart. At least you are honest in admitting that you never met the person of God in your heart. Maybe you could try a simple Protestant church with a simple devotion to God. You might find that more to your liking.

What is it that you would like to do?

The catholic church teaches things that are not biblical. So if you are on a quest to find out if there is a God, read and study His Word the Bible.

Salvation is by the grace of God through faith not by works.

We all need a Savior. Jesus came to be our savior, to pay the penalty for our sin.

If you would like help with Bible study email me.
