Are there any stories from the bible, or Church history, that you would like to see made into a movie? Maybe they have never been made into movies before; or if they have, then perhaps they could be remade? What would you like to see?

The story of Job would be great.

And I am sure there are scripts out there dealing with Jesus' 17 years that are unaccounted for in scripture.

Movies about Popes are interesting. Some of the very early Popes could make geat movies. And John Paul II would also be great.

the Bible tale of Tamar - "Date Palm", Standard Hebrew 'Tamar, Tiberian Hebrew Ta-ma-r was the daughter-in-law of Judah, to whose eldest son, Er, she was married (Gen. 38:6). After her husband's death, she was married to Onan, his brother (8), and on his death, Judah promised to her that his third son, Shelah, would become her husband. This promise was not fulfilled, and Tamar disguised herself as a temple prostitute and offered herself to her father-in-law Judah. She claimed his staff, signet and cloak as pledge of payment. From this union, Tamar became pregnant. When Judah accused her of fornication, she produced the staff and signet and identified Judah himself as the father. Tamar had twin sons, Zarah and Pharez (Gen. 38:30). Tamar enabled Judah to have children of non-Canaanite lineage. One of her descendants was a long-haired radical socialist reform rabbi known as Jesus Christ.

Or the book of Job Directed by Mel Gibson who would show all the gory details of how God shows his love for the most devoted member of his chosen people in order to win a bet.

I'd like to see a story on Ezekiel. That would be fantastic.

But aside from stories from the bible or church history, I'd love to see the book "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti (sp?) on film with Steven Spielberg doing the special effects.

I want to see "Song of Songs" made into a porno. You wouldn't have to change a word.

Or get Mel Gibson to make "The Pain of the Job", where Job is minding his own business and God sends all these horrible things to him for the next 120 minutes, just to win a bet.

Or get Clive Barker to direct "Revelation". That would kick @ss, with all the blood and locusts and beasts and scrolls.

Why focus on the Gospels when there's SO much more to be done?

Judges 20. Revelation would be great, but they would screw it up like they do nearly everything else that has to do with Revelation.

Actually, I'd rather they do a movie based upon Foxe's Book of Martyrs. The Roman Catholics wouldn't like it, but I think that real Christians need to see it. ( I am not saying that there aren't any real Christians who are Roman Catholics, just remember that!)

Ezekiel 23:19-20

"Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions."

Wow. Just wow. The bible writers were freaks.

I like the story of Elijah, he was sorta funny for a prophet. But I wouldn't want a Mel Brooks version, I'd want to see the story as it was :)

A movie that glorifies the Inquisition would stimulate dialogue in America.

The Story of Joseph. One of the best example of forgiving those who had wronged you and how God can make someone great by doing His will.
