Why would God try to fool his chosen people and not send them the Messiah he had promised?

What do you think of the fallen human being as totally depraved, that one is predetermined to elect salvation or damnation from eternity by the will of God and not by one's choises, that Jesus died for the salvation only for the elect few and not for the salvation of all, that God's grace is irresistible and those who are not saved are so because God choose not to offer the grace, and that the predestined-to-salvation cannot be lost and go to hell no matter what they have or have not done?
Does this defend the sovereignty of God? Is this compatible with the God of Eternal Love?

The Jews that wanted him dead was for political reasons, the majority were not even allowed in the court yard where the mock trial was held. All the apostles were jews. Jesus was a Jew. All the books in the bible were Jews. The Romans killed Christ, who became the Catholic Church of Rome. Stop blameing the Jews.

When the concentration camps were set up, the "undesirables" that were forced into them were tattooed with numbers to keep tabs on the workers (later, when they became death camps, they didn't bother).

I doubt the Nazis would have cared about Jewish law, but did they know about it?

Why does it matter to you what they believe in? I understand if they're pressing their faith on you but why do you come on to these forums and try to disprove them when they're not hurting you or anyone, they're just trying to help each other? I'm an atheist and I like listening to the different point of views of other people. If their faith is a comfort to them, who am I to be against it? I sometimes wish I had that blanket of comfort :)

Jesus was made up, and nobody will ever prove me wrong. If soemone does, I will never admit it. Jesus was a mytholigical character taken from Horus and Krishna. And the "most historians believe Jesus existed" crap is unimportant, because most historians are Christians. I will never take the word of any historian on religious matters because most are Christians and you can't believe what Christians say/

Terah, Bible, Quran, whatever your faith if any at all comes from a book. it is the one that you chose to live your life by with a set of concepts that you value above any other and there is nothing wrong with this and if you also feel the need to try and bring your joy to others by bringing them into your little group that is fine and one of your rights. Please let us remember at the end of the day that each person will chose whatever brings them joy in this life and we should be willing to extend our best wishes on a long and happy life filled with joy if they choose your way of believing/life or another and remember religious texts is just that - a book - nothing more or less with the exception that we have made our decision which one we will live our lives as a guideline and hope for future. No one really knows what is after this life so let's make the best of it and respect eachother. Amen!

since the section of yahoo answers called religion and spirituality implies some kind of belief in a higher power, be it a god or at least a higher self, which is the same as saying that one becomes a god...and atheists claim no god and so no spirituality...what are you all hanging around r and s for? this question does not include those who are seeking or undetermined...but confirmed and determined atheists.

This guy is comes on my local tv stations on sunday morning. these people get up and tell about this miracle water healing them as they catch the holy ghost.

One woman said this miracle water cured her brain cancer. another said it cured an itch in her hair. another claimed it healed her injured foot.

You can't buy these religious freak shows anywhere, so they must have been created by god.
