I would not live there because I like where I live now and if I had to pick it would be Europe anyway.
Nowadays I would not even think of vacationing in an Islamic country, even though I would love to see some of these beautiful sights like the pyramids, Petra in Jordan, Dubai etc...
I would be afraid that some bomb could explode at a market or touristy attraction or whereever I am at that time.

My Anthropology Prof. visits Yemen alot and has nothing but good things to say. One of my favorite books is Motoring With Mohommed, by Eric Hansen. It's about his travels as an American in North Yemen. My answer is no, I wouldn't want to live anywhere but America at the moment. But I would be open to traveling to a Muslim country if I could have some sense of securtiy?

Well; suffice it to say...when I crossed the boarder from Israel to Jordan several months ago & was the only Jewish person in our group, & the Jordanian boarder patrol held me for 45 minutes while letting everyone else in the group pass right through; I was more than a little scared.
They knew my familial background & all about me.
I would not want to live in an Islamic country, as I doubt my life would continue very long.

Try living in Malaysia. Great Muslim country...lot of Starbucks & McDs and everybody if free to wear tight jeans and so on.

I wouldn't.
I mean... come on. A single, Christian, American girl. Alone in an Islamic country. I'd fake a British accent to be safer.
I speak a little Arabic though. Maybe that'd help my cause.
But I like my country. A fast-food restaurant and Starbucks on every street corner... it doesn't get any better.
But I would love to visit.
Especially Lebanon.
Just not... stay forever.

some parts may be pretty besides the stuff they show on the news, i honestly wouldn't want to live in a country with all that violence and strict governments. It's just not rational and some people over there are very rude in my own opinion.

Non Muslims are not tolerated in Muslim countries. We may even be killed. We should return the favor and start having Muslim roundups right here in the good ol' US of A.

No way. I would not want to live in a Muslim country if I were a Muslim,let alone a non Muslim.
