Ok..I would like to know where in the bible does it talk about tattoo's and are they ok to get or not ok, someone told me they are ok as long as they aren't the name of a dead person, others say the bible says to come out from among them and be different and not to mark your bodies as the heathens do?? So as you can see I'm a bit confused on the religious aspect of it, and no I don't have a tattoo just confused??

Leviticus 19:28“Never cut your bodies in mourning for the dead or mark your skin with tattoos, for I am the LORD.
These were ceremonial laws that God gave the Jewish people. Ceremonial law was crucified on the cross with Christ and doesn't apply now. We are under a new covenant now.
You need to be respectful to your beliefs though with your choices. How can you witness to others about God if you have tattoos that depict something ungodly?
I have four Tattoos I got when I was in the military. Even when I was preaching there were churches I was told to keep my arms covered or they wouldn't let me speak. There are going to be people who don't like what you do no matter what. Just remember that your relationship to God is yours personally between Him and you.

Here's the quote you're looking for:

"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD."
Leviticus 19:28

Of course, there are plenty of religions out there that aren't based on the Bible.

I'm not what you call religious, so I don't have a biblical objection regarding tatoos. However, the problem I have with tatoos is that they are permanent. They might look so cool when you're young, but when you're 80? It's your decision, but I would just think about it.

--You could always get one on your ankle. Then if you don't like it you could cover it up with a sock.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Just be careful, as you have to live with it forever (unless you spend a lot of money to get it laser removed)

our bodies dont belong to us,we are just barrowing them from god,all we have is our soul.for example your friend said here borrow my clothes and you just mess it up and bleach it and make it ugly, your friend wont like it and it would hurt her or make her dissapointed.
