well christianity isn't all to clean and pretty so it is indeed very christian

I am not talking about Bush or the war. I don't know enough about it to say whether it is or is not a righteous cause. This is about God. You can't believe in Him part way. You can't believe in bits of the Bible. You either take Him and what He stands for completely, or you might as well not believe it at all. This is what the Bible tells us. God doesn't look warmly on a lukewarm believer.

Comparing Christianity to politics is ridiculous and quite pointless. It pretty much renders the question invalid. What is it you don't understand about Sophie's statement? What middle ground could there possibly be?
