If you bump the ladder you might knock it over or knock whatever was on the ladder onto you. Perhaps you should put the Bible on your head when you walk under the ladder for protection, in case that happens.

great question. my answer? you'd walk under the ladder with your bible under your arm. something else may or may not happen but neither of those things would influence that. unless you might be subconsciously looking for something because you believe it will.
