There are alot of claims from people that say "There is not proof of Evolution." People say that because they've heard it, and it sounds good. So, I'll ask you now, would you like to see the proof with your own eyes? If you saw it, would you believe. I'll post some things in a few minutes when I get a feel for the responses. But honestly, if there was proof, incontrovertable proof, would you still say there was none? I'm not trying to be patronizing, I just want to get a feel for this.

I am wondering, because it doesn't do much for me as a spiritual book. I mean with everything that has been removed, it can't be true to the point it was supposed to have been 1600 years ago.

How about we allow your folks to teach Intelligent Design in public schools. Sounds great, eh? Excellent!

In return, you must also allow accredited teachers to teach Evolutionary Theory in your churches. There will be a quota that must be met every year, of church members who get at least a C on the exam afterwards. And vice versa.

I'll agree to that. What do you all think?

I find to many holes in the bible!
first adam was to live forever before eating from the tree.
that means he must have been in spirit form as human form decays.
after eating from the tree adam's sin causes god to make him mortal or in human form.
yet, we are told god created eve from the rib of adam.
so, was adam in human for or spirit form?
I'm starting to see why atheists make fun of us now!

My family and I plan on moving to Florida early 2008. However, I heard many people tell me, that before I relocate, I have to ask God's permission first, or things may go terribly wrong.

Is there biblical evidence for this? has anyone else ever heard this?

Which God exactly?

If only the biblical God is being taught, do the non-Christian biology students get to be excused from what is now a religious lesson?

Can we as parents have our kids taught just evolution and not the religious part? Do we get that elective?

Should plural marriage be made legal. And by legal I also assume that the rest of our society's laws would apply and other special regulatory rules would be put into place. Why or why not? Do you find this concept immoral? Would it infringe on other's rights?

I understand (in theory) that life is essentially an abstraction that our brains use to represent the world. However, what is this thing that is "I"?
Are there moments when people actually move beyond this duality?

Why is it that some "Christians" feel they must persecute others for their beliefs? I have had some who feel this way explain to me that they are called upon God to slander others, but did not Jesus tell his disciples to leave those who were casting out evil spirits alone and not interfere with them? Is it insecurity in one's own beliefs that drives them in their attempt to tear down other religions, denominations, etc? What is the psychology of such people?

Yes, he did. Its was written in the Bible of the 1300"s to the middle of the 1900" . Today its mention alittle. From the gospels. Jesus did wishes the bad people as they should have done penance long ago, so that they can avoid everlasting kingdom of Hell. If you to pray and do daily penance. Fr. W Young suggest as you can offer 10 Hail Mary daily for pray and penance for the complete restoration for traditional latin mass everywhere for the salvation of those who need this mass as the Pope is in favor of it but there are people who are against it. This prayer and penance daily will heal the wounds of hate in their heart and allowing people and priests to attend the traditional latin mass daily with equal right and freedom. Today, most of priests and etc do not talk about prayer and penance anymore
If you want to do daily penance and prayer as you can, this will get your whole self on the narrow road into everlasting life. This what many Roman Catholic doctors and saints have taught.

I've been to Discovery's website. I've tried Answers in Genesis. I've tried poking around on sites like Oral Roberts University.

I'm looking for the actual theory of Intelligent Design. Not a textbook on the theory, not a current events book, not a criticism of Evolution.

I want the document that is to Intelligent Design as Origin of Species is to Evolution. It would be pretty plain, probably has three or so citations per sentence (academic papers usually do), and ideally at least has its references reviewed.

Where can I review this document?

I'm sure this happens quite often, but since I've never experienced it first hand, I'd like to know how it's dealt with:

Some of your students strongly debate your views on Evolution and they resort to "debunking" your scientific explanations with scripture quotes.

Do you try to prove them wrong? Do you let them be? Do you recant a bit in order to maintain the flow of the class/syllabus/program?

What would/do you do? Please consider all implications, side effects and consequences on your job and your principles.

Some churches believe that you have to tarry for months to receive the Holy Spirit. Is it not true that he is with you even before salvation? To my understanding, he was the one that compelled us to come to Christ. If this ist rue, he is already with us. Do we just receive him by faith?

we would have less debates and strife among people?
I think they should allow the children to decide for themselves.

Let truth ring forth, "creation" is seen as a cult to unbelievers, and "evolution" is seen as a "cult" to Christans.

so why not let the chips fall were they may?

let's be fair to all.

Ok, heres the deal... I am not catholic but my fiance is and he wants our 9 month old baby to be baptized catholic. I beleive that a child should be able to choose for themselves what they beleive but at the same time I know that it means alot to him. We are not fighting about it or anything, but I just don't know what the right thing to do is. I am Christian and very much believe in God but Im still a little confused and need advice. Benny Hinn, a renowned international evangelist, is holding his first ever ‘Holy Spirit Miracle Crusade’ in Uganda. He is the senior pastor of World Healing Church International, Irving Texas in USA.
Kayanja said besides economic gain people would be changed spiritually and that Uganda would be in the lime light during and long after Benny Hinn’s visit.

“Pr. Benny Hinn emphasises through his teachings of the Holy Bible, the Cross of Calvary on which Jesus died for our salvation and the healing of our diseases,” said former ethics and integrity minister Tim Lwanga on behalf of the crusade’s organising committee.

I agree with you that abortion is bad. I don't think we should change the laws, but I wish abortions never happen. I think part of the problem of the pro-life movement is the extreme measures used to get passed the apathy of the general population. Calling it murder, bombing abortion clinics, these type of things might not be progressing your cause like you might want it to.

I think a new approach is in order, adoption reform like less waiting times for parents who want to adopt, and better services for pregnant women who don't want their babies. More counselling, and free service all around. I think if we worked with pregnant women, rather than battled them we could put a serious dent in the number of abortions.

I understand these and other measures are already in place, but let's stop saying things like "abortion is murder" and more "there are other options, and we are here willing to help you."

Also, maybe adopt a kid or two yourself.
