I've been to Discovery's website. I've tried Answers in Genesis. I've tried poking around on sites like Oral Roberts University.

I'm looking for the actual theory of Intelligent Design. Not a textbook on the theory, not a current events book, not a criticism of Evolution.

I want the document that is to Intelligent Design as Origin of Species is to Evolution. It would be pretty plain, probably has three or so citations per sentence (academic papers usually do), and ideally at least has its references reviewed.

Where can I review this document?

Kallan: I did. I found textbooks, but not the theory those textbooks would be based on.

Problem 1. You can't assume that they understand what a scientific theory is. Most biblical theists can not distinguish between a theory and a hypothesis. They seem to think the two are interchangable.

Problem 2. Biblical theologists are not able to create an actual scientific theory of ID without first actually proving the existence of their specific god. You just can't prove that a god spoke things into being if you can't prove the god is there in the first place.

christians will be hard pressed to prove any of their claims in a scientific or scholarly arena, but that won't stop them from trying to discredit actual scientific work. Nor will it keep them from believing that reality is a democratic process and thus trying to force their views on our society. I really wish they would just stay inside the church and leave reality to the people that can recognize it.

Any academic paper on intelligent design would cite the Bible. Just Give up, religion isn't a science, don't expect it to be any day soon, even though fundies have tried. The Bible, which is the foundation of Christianity, is like a book of fiction, a tale, and in these kinds of books you'll never find anything cited, or any deep analysis at all. In tales things just happen without any rational causes or consequences. Give up, don't waste your time.

well you could look at Genesis, but then some would say.. oh its been changed..or altered.

so you could look to the new testament where its made clear all things are made through christ.

now those gospels were only written arround 30-40 years after his death so those eye witness accounts will the best..

while were at it i would also have to say, that most people who would "FULLY DOCUMENT" any thing from a religious following prolly wouldnt do it.

to be honest, if we could go back in time and video tape GOD making the world athiest today would some how say the tape was made up.

Ask a religion teacher or search Yahoo or Google for "theory of Intelligent Design"

Most likely you won't find a fully documented theory of Intelligent Design simply for the fact that it's not a theory. When you are talking about facts you're not talking about theory. There is no greater intelligence than that of the one in whose image man is made, and the one in whose image man is made is God, and God designed the universe. That's not a theory, it's a fact.

Well those kinds of things are usually in the peer reviewed article that presents it as a legitimate theory to the scientific community.

Too bad there isn't one.

There is no such thing as a theory of ID. You can find a fairy tale of ID in various places. When you have a minute, and if knowledge and education is of interest to you, check what a scientific theory is dear....

If you don't have faith now, then proof really doesn't matter. Not everything in the world is or can be explained via documentation.
