If I go forward on a road and see that there`s a big fire on that road moving quickly towards me and I quickly return back.On my way back if I tell each and every person on that road that there`s a big fire in front that can not be avoided, will you be thankful that I told you.
If I were to return back without telling anyone about that Fire, although I know its moving too quickly and can burn people without giving them a chance to return, will you guys be mad at me .... why I didn`t tellyou about it.
If you were in that situation..... will you not warn people of the fire ahead ? seriously tell me, isn`t it natural, if you have an instinctive love for humanity, for you to warn them of any dangers that they might be unaware of ?

and Why do Christians harp so much about gays? it's not even on the top 10 list. or one of the 7 deadly sins. Why don't people go to the Hometown Buffet and confront gluttons?

WHY is it.... that the most serious attacks on the credibility, integrity and stability of chrsitians and their beliefs (their faith).... come, from surprisingly.... other christians?

I'm not speaking of differences in opinioin concerning (valid) doctrinal debates.. (as scripturally even the disciples argued over such things, i.e, when they argued over circumcision) or of condemnation of heresis within the "church" (such as, 'there is no hell' - 'you can pray people out of hell' - 'only a certain number of people go to heaven/can be saved'- ' we can become gods'- 'creation itself is god' or 'jesus and satan are siblings' and so on) these ought to be condemned.
But i'm speaking of when christians (who are by all means seriously screwed up anyways lol i should know, i am one) begin to attack the reputation and 'witness' of other christains, who.... are supposed to believe in the same God, and same Lord, and preach the same gospel?
Does anyone else notice that as well?

up that belief? I mean of course legitimate religious text, not "fiction" that has woven itself into the legend like Dante's Inferno or Paradise Lost.

Okay this is using Bible logic:

First there is God, who is timeless, so He Himself does not need a creator. God creates Heaven and angels who get to live directly with God in His glory. All of these angels have free will, but God's love is so great that no one would ever doubt, or hate God. Until one day Lucifer decides He wants to be God, or at the very least turns against God. God says to Lucifer, "why would you do this?" Lucifer replies "You're not so great, if us angels did not live in your kingdom then no one would love you." Always up for a challenge God creates an entire universe far away from Heaven. And in the middle of this seemingly infinite universe God creates Earth, and on it mankind. He gives mankind some basic instructions, and free will, but leaves the coming to Him in the hands of the individual.

So why do all this?

The so called new covenant is something of an invention of the church. Did Jesus not say that he didn't come to overrule the old ways but to bring the people back to them? The Bible and the commandents quite clearly command you to sacrifice the first born male be it human or animal. If you have not done so, is it because either A) you are ignorant of your own bible and rely on the authority of the church to tell you what to do? or B) You are aware of this scriptural doctrine but have choosen, of your own free will to ignore it, thus deciding that your morality and ethical choices trump Gods? or C) something else? please elaborate.

Has it ever been a Religion?

If so which one?

When I did a search most of the most Notorius Evil Men in History none were of practicing Judeo/Christian faiths.

Do you think evilness comes from traits of wanting::

Power:
Sexual deviancy
Greed

And since man has never been able to conqueor and rid those evil qualities in man without killing them or locking them up for all time, when if ever do you think those traits can be wiped out of a human being?

Hi guys, i miss old times you know. I am a muslim, i remember b4 9/11 , when i was young in school in our Islamic countries, we would often discuss which american university we would love to go too. It was a very exciting thing for us to get excellent SAT scores. They had excellent education to offer which was quite in demand in the eager minds of young muslims. Now things have changed, people do not see America as a land of Freedom and Justice anymore. Though we always had extremists whom we as muslims least cared about but it seems they are the sole representation of Islam. The world has become a huge contest of deciet, ego and greed. What happended to forgiveness and love. I Basically miss old times, i am a bit sad by this division, what are your opinions?

ok so here it is: first of all, were ALL sinners in romans 3:10 it says ...there is none righteous no not one (meaning:NOONE is perfect) why? Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (notice the word ALL) then the Bible says that becuz we sinned we deserve hell Rev 21:8 ...all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth w/ fire n brimstone which is the 2nd death (fire and brimstone sound like hell right? also 2nd death means seperation from God for ever) so the bible says that we all sin, sinners deserve hell... rom 6:23 says for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (it says the gift, wuts a gift? something u hav to pay for ? no. something you hav to work 4? no. something that you borrow then gets taken away? no. a gift is something that someone gives u and you recieve it and its YOURS) (now wut is the gift of God? eternal life) john 3:16 says For God so loved the world that he gave his only

People actually believe that Jesus physically floated up to Heaven. This makes me wonder WHERE Heaven is. It certainly can't be that far, because even the nearest STAR to us is Proxima Centauri, which is 4.3 light-years from the Sun.
(That would be 23.52 million million miles.)
Now if Heaven is farther than the FARTHEST stars we can see--which are HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of light-years away, then JESUS would still be out there today, hurtling through space, on his way to Heaven, and he still won't get there for a few hundred thousand years!
So Heaven MUST be pretty close, if we are to believe that Jesus has BEEN in Heaven (bodily) for over 2000 years. That would mean that it would have to be close enough for NASA to be able to photograph it. Heck WE should be able to photograph it if we put our cameras on zoom...
(OK, maybe that last bit's an exaggeration.)
So why hasn't NASA been able to find it?

I have heard many atheists say that we do not need religion. I disagree. Let's face it, the average human being is really stupid. If you think all these religious wackos are crazy now, imagine how crazy they would be if they didn't have someone around telling them what to do all the time. These people are incapable of taking care of themselves and need guidance from people who are a little more intelligent then they are. Without religion, these people would be like lost little kids.

Who else thinks this is a good idea.
Basically they are saying that the level of violence, incest and rape in the bible makes it 'indecent' and that it will have to be shrink-wrapped and never sold or given to minors. Just like other forms of pornography.
I for one think this is a fine idea. The LAST think I would want my kids exposed to is the bible. Once they are old enough and mature enough, fine. But letting a kid read the bible is child abuse, plain and simple.

Here is the story;
