Okay this is using Bible logic:

First there is God, who is timeless, so He Himself does not need a creator. God creates Heaven and angels who get to live directly with God in His glory. All of these angels have free will, but God's love is so great that no one would ever doubt, or hate God. Until one day Lucifer decides He wants to be God, or at the very least turns against God. God says to Lucifer, "why would you do this?" Lucifer replies "You're not so great, if us angels did not live in your kingdom then no one would love you." Always up for a challenge God creates an entire universe far away from Heaven. And in the middle of this seemingly infinite universe God creates Earth, and on it mankind. He gives mankind some basic instructions, and free will, but leaves the coming to Him in the hands of the individual.

So why do all this?

I don't know. The whole fued between God and the Devil happened eons ago. Why not bury the hatchet and put the past behind you? As for the existance of earth, what is life anyway but an abrupt interruption to an otherwise peaceful nonexistance?

That's a problem I have too. God seams to have designed man as a test subject. we are here to pass or fail; this is very similar to the ancient Greeks view of their gods, always fickle and testing man.

Because he didn't want all the happiness to his self. So he made earth, and let us share his happiness..You ask " what about them people who suffer?"..God is love and he does not want his children to suffer but it's just the way life is. I guess, he so is suffering. well i'm 15 don't know much but thats my opinion

Because he was bored?
I know I would be, if I was alone, but for a few people, for ages and ages, I'd get real bored.
Maybe I would play Super smash brothers instead, though.
