Hi guys, i miss old times you know. I am a muslim, i remember b4 9/11 , when i was young in school in our Islamic countries, we would often discuss which american university we would love to go too. It was a very exciting thing for us to get excellent SAT scores. They had excellent education to offer which was quite in demand in the eager minds of young muslims. Now things have changed, people do not see America as a land of Freedom and Justice anymore. Though we always had extremists whom we as muslims least cared about but it seems they are the sole representation of Islam. The world has become a huge contest of deciet, ego and greed. What happended to forgiveness and love. I Basically miss old times, i am a bit sad by this division, what are your opinions?

It is all a matter of perception. My opinion is that things are ultimately no different than they were before. The educational system is pretty much the same. Most of the people are pretty much the same. If you don't have any connections with terror groups, then there really no reason you cannot go to school in America. Some people here are anti-muslim, but the truth is that this has always been true. Most people would welcome you. Some people in the middle east are anti-American, but the fact is that this has always been true, too. Prejudices are just a fact of life. I live in America, and in the overall scheme of things, I don't think America is any less free or just than it has been in the past 200 years. The current administration kind of sucks, but that is a part of the democratic cycle. Soon they'll be voted out, and we'll all move on. The perception of things has changed more so than the factual existence of things. As a historian, I can honestly say that the truth is the world has always been full of deceit, ego, and greed. What matters is what you do about it. Hiding from America isn't going to solve things. Coming on over here and participating and reaching out to other people that are different than you will. I would say the same things to Americans in regard to you.

If a group of American extremists engaged in repeated unprovoked attacks on innocent civilians in your country, you'd see our point.

We're not just talking about 9/11, but a whole series of cowardly attacks by muslim extremists that have succeeded, in part, because the governments of Muslim states failed to stop them.

In America, when extremists groups attack innocent people, we hunt them down like dogs and stop them. At the very least, we create an environment so hostile to them that they can't expose themselves without being captured. An example of this is certain anti-abortion groups that use militant tactics to make a point. They don't get a second opportunity to attack.

Why can't muslim countries do the same?

And for the record, we miss the old times, too.

I am an American Citizen and a Christian.
I, too miss pre-9/11; Christians don't want to look suspiciously at anyone, but what choice do we have? We fight an invisable enemy; one that hides somewhere within your religion. If you are one of the "good ones", then know that its nothing personal, but we have this strong yearning inside to KEEP OUR CHILDREN ALIVE. And your religion posts a threat to that, along with the possibility that our beautiful Country will get blown to hell. I have to wonder this: In the Muslim countries, if a group of radical Christians flew planes into your buildings killing innocent people going to work, what would be the response? If things were the exact opposite, what would happen to any Christians living in those Countries? Would you all gather together with those Christians and tell them that you know its just a few crazy ones, but you love all of those good ones just the same? And if you didn't know which ones were "good" and which ones had an agenda to continue to destroy you?
I have a feeling there would be a big round up of all those Christians, and your jails would be full - until they were executed.
Its known to us that in mosques right in our own Country, the sermons talk about death to Western infidels. Those of us with a brain realize that there is no desire to be our brothers and sisters. And yet, we hear this motto being spread around: "Islam: the religion of peace". The agenda is clear:
We have not been attacked since 9/11 only because Mr. Bush is doing his job and protecting this Nation. So the enemy needs a different tactic. That would be to convert ignorant Americans who are tired of the War in Iraq; I call them peaceniks. But when those American Citizens convert to Islam, they not only jeopardize their own safety, but they put at risk all the rest of us, and esspecially our children. Why would Muslims want Christians to join them in the Muslim religion, when they want us dead at the same time? Because its a blatant lie, thats why. They do not want us anywhere near their places of worship. This is pure propaganda so that we will swing our doors wide open, letting our guard down, and opening ourselves up to an attack. I can see it coming.
When it does happen, I won't blame you as a Muslim. Muslims are doing exactly as I expect them to do. But I will blame stupid
American citizens who are negligent with the lives of the entire population of this Country, and I hope they will be thrown out and their American citizenship taken away from them.

I wish I didn't have to feel the way that I do, but I have a child that I love very dearly, and I want to keep him alive and well.
I want him to be able to go to the store without having to worry about some nut who has explosives strapped to his waist.
To be perfectly honest with you, I wish all
of the islamic persuasion would leave this
Nation. I wish all were thrown out when 9/11 happened. Not because I hate you, or hate anyone, but as a safety precaution.
Remember: we fight an invisable enemy, and all we know is that they are Muslims.
I don't understand why you want to be here anyway. We are a majority Christian Nation. You don't like us, you want us dead,
you believe we are infidels. That means that you feel that the majority of Americans are infidels. Why would you want to live and work with mostly infidels? This gives us cause to think that you must have another agenda. "You" meaning Muslims, not "you" personally: you're the only one who knows what your motives are.
I am sorry but i do not trust the motives or agenda of the group called "Muslims".
WE CANNOT AFFORD THE LUXURY;
WE COULD DIE AS A RESULT OF IT.

9/11 was an inside Job!

http://www.infowars.com/articles/ps/patriot2_hitler_powers_bush.htm

Right after that so called Muslim attack congress passed the Patriot 2 bill which gave Hitler like powers to Bush!

9/11 was no different then what Hitler did just before his invasion of Poland! Hitler also used the term the NEW WORLD ORDER!

Which was mentioned by George Bush senior on 9/11 1991!
Exactly 10 years to the day of the 9/11 attack!

Wake up the Muslims are not the enemy! The enemy is from within our own government!

You cared about the extremists? Well now maybe you know now why you shouldn't have! I love the muslims that we have been told are peaceful and follow the Koran, but after 9/11, feelings probably will never be the same. Terrorism is an invisible blight and you never know what people are thinking. It has breeded a lot of fear and distrust.

Some Americans still realize that all Muslims are not jihadists. With all of the turmoil in the world, most of us lose sight of that.

I'm more angry than sad. The fact that there are people in this world that want me dead because I have different beliefs and ideals makes me crazy.

I sympathize with your loss of faith in the American spirit that is lessened after 9/11. Hopefully, America will be a gentler nation again.

edit: Aurora, the person said "least cared" about the extremist. I guess it is like how Christians least cared about the fundamentalists in this country.

Many are sad about the divisiveness, and in the United States, they blame the muslims for it. Of course, christian fundies have grabbed the ball and want to complete the fight against everyone, so that the muslims are not completely to blame.

you sick. 9/11 make me sick. why should we remeber that day and they shouldnt remeber the days and months and years that america turned our life to hell. why should we remeber 9/11 and they shouldnt remeber vietnam, south america. why should we care too much about 9/11 and forget what they have done in Iraq and afganistan. why should we care about two or three thousands killed and forget about the millions that america killed through its war on Indians, japanese, Gulf war, Uraniam in Iraq. why should i care about some people killed because of thier government crimes and forget about palestine which has been stolen by the gang army country which is called Isreal. why should i care about the people who terrified for hours and forget about the people who are being terrified for years in guantanamo and secret jails. they are sad because one day, im sad fr the people who are tortured in Egypt, tunisia, saudia arabia and other countries, then bush support these criminal government.
American i dont care for your security because your government deprived us from our security. You know, those terrorist people were clear with you, they told you about the crimes your government did and you didnt care, so why they should care about you. you elect bush for second term. while your lier prisedent said that Iraqi system"which i hate" have mass destruction weapon and invaded Iraq just for Isreal.
