Yes we atheists do point those things out alot. But I used to attend Sunday school and they always made it seem that Adam was a human and since god is "all powerful and mighty" that he could keep the human body young and alive. In Greek mythology the gods looked like humans but were immortal. Maybe the same concept could be applied here because technically to make someone mortal they would have to be immortal first so then Adam would be a very god-like person. So maybe god put the fruit tree there and the serpant to tempt Adam and Eve because he knew they would fail and then he could make them mortal before they realized they were god-like and tried to overthrow them.
Seems ridiculous and I just answered a question that really wasn't there but that's how I see it.
And to sunflare63 (although she probably won't be back to read this): Atheists are not from the devil we just realize that the concept of religion is just ridiculous. It's a cop-out! Whatever can't be explained is suddenly a miracle (And why isn't there any mention of dinosaurs in the bible but there is physical evidence they existed?)

What makes you think that Adam was in spirit form? Can't a human form be made to regenerate itself? You are assuming that the human body was the same back then as it is now.
God can do anything that he wants to, so I see a hole in your logic. There is nothing in the Bible that suggests that Adam was a spirit. The Book of Genesis clearly states that Adam was formed from the dust of the Earth, so he was obviously physical, not a spirit.

Adam was always in Human form. When you read in the scriptures (Genesis 2:8,3:19 ) he was formed from God out of the ground. The human body decays now because of the curse of death God put onto man. Genesis chapter 3 is a good one to read and will help answer why we die. But, our body was created to live forever. That's why our body heals itself and our cells constantly reproduce. Unfortunately because of Adam and Eve's selfishness we are now imperfect and as the generation keep going our bodies are dying at a faster rate then before. even Scientist can not understand why the body stops replenishing itself after so long.

Well, it's tough. Remember we don't have our whole Bible, firstly. Part of it was burned in the 5th century. Also, what most of the Biblical women had to say was disacrded as well since men were the scribes of the day, primarily. So, we basically don't have their input. THEN there is the translation process. What happened there? In some languages you can't translate an English word into their language because it doesn't exist. Finally, parts of our Bible were written by chosen people who didn't exactly have top educations. They did the best they could. But Paul says that we must have faith. We must have the faith to believe in what we have been given and the discernment from God to know the truth. From what I get of Moses' account of Genesis, God made two actual people. They didn't wear clothes or anything but they consumed food, which is suggestive of humanity equipped with digestive systems. They were told to eat anything they wanted except for one thing. They ate of it and were cast out. They went on to bear children and farm the land, although the way was tough as they were told it would be. But to all appearances, Adam and Eve were flesh and blood humans because God needed a physical rib for Eve and God even put him to sleep to relieve the pain, I believe. Plus the eating. They could eat anything they wanted and they did until the day when temptation overcame them. Hence, I fully believe they were flesh and blood. It also says that God breathed into Adam and gave him life. Adam was already destined to have a spiritual life with God and we know he did. So, the breathing of life into Adam was to give physical life, since we know that God created Adam to also share spirituality. If it was pure spirit initially, I don't believe that God would have needed to provide any food. And the Garden was well stocked, as per Genesis. Read Genesis 1:27-30 and this might help. In verse 28 he told them to multiply and that is also suggestive of a physical body for reproduction purposes. And remember to keep the faith. Faith is key and so is discernment when reading a complicated book such as our Bible. Philippians 1:10 discusses discernment for believing and understanding is seldom easy. Maybe we don't understand atheists any better than they understand us, but I know there is a Heaven. I almost died in 1992 and I was just about there. Now I have a great peace about it.

Adam and Eve had a spiritual union with God and a physical body, like our RESURECTED BODIES will be. They were made to last eternally, when Adam and Eve sinned, it made the physical body have the ability to die, as well as caused a spiritual seperation( *spiritual death), that can be restored through redemption and God's forgiveness of sins.
When Christ gathers us up, we will be in the same form as the sinless Adam and Eve, as well as when Jesus was ressurected.
"As for the resurrected body, when Jesus first startled Mary, she reached up to touch him, he stopped her! After he was 'glorified', he let them touch and handle him. This body was not a spirit as God IS, John 4:24, but was flesh and bone, no blood in it. Luke 24:39. It was spiritual, having the aspects of a spirit in that it was able to enter the room with the doors and windows shut " John 20:19.
Hope this helps in some way.

that's a humorous question to ask, because of the fact there's a difference between understanding sturdy and evil as against recognizing sturdy and evil. in simple terms considering which you would be able to understand sturdy and evil does no longer mean which you will know the two sturdy or evil. you are able to convince your self which you're doing sturdy, yet how do you realize for particular which you're no longer doing evil? Like clever any different way around. God stated to Adam do no longer devour from the tree for in case you do you will actual die. whilst did God tell Adam that if he eats from the tree he will sin? human beings assumes that. human beings to today sins and don't understand they are doing so. additionally, to today human beings do no longer know whilst they are doing sturdy or evil, they only assume they do.

Where did you read in the bible that adam was to live forever ? When it says that adam and eve will surely die , it meant the death of their souls. Not the flesh bodies they were in. Why would they die? because it is written that "the wages of sin is death" of your spiritual body. Sin is disobeying Gods orders and / or commandments. Your question with it's flagrant assumptions seem very atheistic in the way it was stated.

God created Adam and Eve from dust (soil, clay)
Then God breath in them (spirit) to perform life.
When they ate off the tree, it woke up their senses into
knowledge of Good and Evil and they realized they were
naked and put a fig leaf down there.
Athesists are of the devil and need to wake up and smell
the coffee.

ADAM WAS IN SPIRIT FORM. THE TREE HE ATE FROM WAS THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE.THIS IS SYMBOLIC. ADAM , HAVING FREE WILL, BEGAN TO THINK OF MATERIAL THINGS AND BECAUSE OF THIS A DEEP SLEEP FELL UPON HIM. A SPIRITUAL SLEEP.IT IS NOTHING GOD DID TO ADAM. HE MADE THE CHOICE WHICH WAS ALWAYS HIS TO MAKE.ONCE ADAM WENT INTO THIS SPIRITUAL SLEEP HE HAD TO SUFFER EVERYTHING THAT WENT WITH IT.IF THERES PLEASURE IN YHE FLESH THAN THERES ALSO PAIN. NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT MENTION ADAM AWAKENING FROM THIS SLEEP.TAKE ALOOK AROUND ,ITS APPARENT WE ARE STILL IN THAT SPIRITUAL SLEEP STATE.

According to the Qur'an, Adam (PBUH) was in human form, because Iblis stated that he was better than Adam, being that he (Iblis) was made from smokeless flame and Adam was made from clay.
