I read a couple of books from him (Seven bodies and Supreme Alchemy 1 and 2)
I used to think that he was the ultimate guru, one of the greatest sages that have lived in our era.
Here are some of the quotes I love from him:
We are so used to being focused on the outside that we have forgotten that a kingdom of light lies inside us, a light that heals all karma. We and matter itself are nothing but condensed light.
light is the beginning, life the instrument and love the culmination.
however it was on this forum that I learnt that in his Ashrams all kinds of excesses were permitted (drugs, sex). Remember he is a Tantric. Plus, if you google him, the first 10 pages may be about his teachings and wisdom, but if you get past those, you will find the dark little things.
I don't know, I am in 2 minds about him now. What is your opinion about him?

Osho was a victim of politics in many ways... he was very wise. Whether he was actually enlightened I don't know since I haven't studied him in significant depth, but his commentary on Lojongs in Buddhism is often accepted as "wisdom". I'd say research him and decide for yourself like the Buddha said... test his theories like gold and if they make logical sense, then he must be right... that's all I can say, personally.

He was a simple human being who was thinking/exercising theories far ahead of this time.
You certainly need a very high quality of intelligence and real heart to understand what exactly he is saying
Believe me
only very cultured
real hearted
loving
and educated people with great forsight into life can get the exact flavour of his sayings
He was a free bird who never born and never died, he visited this planet earth
I think if he would have been followed by the world would have become a living paradise
Thanks
