(He said "son of man" quite frequently, and at one point
referred to himself as "a son of god," but that was a common
Hebrew expression at the time. Someone who was "a son of god" was a Jew. This reflected the Israelites' belief that they were the chosen people of your god. See Job 1:6).

Why, then, do you believe that Jesus was divine? If you don't believe that Jesus was divine, then why do you call yourself a Christian?

Watching the news, it seems like most Muslims cannot tolerate anyone who does not believe the same way they do. It’s like, here in the U.S., if I am pro-choice and you move in next door to me and are pro-life, we may disagree, but we do not resort to violence. In the Middle East, as soon as I hear that you are pro-life, I would blow your house up. Christians here in the U.S. may vocalize their beliefs and preach against certain actions, but at least they do not blow up elementary schools. Is this a misperception I have, or is it true that most Muslims do not tolerate difference?

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast."

1. It is God's grace that saves a man from hell.

2. It is not a man's faith that saves him from hell because a man's faith is a gift from God. A man's faith is not some personal attribute that a man makes for himself.

3. It is not a man's good works that saves him from hell because doing good and being a good person is not enough to save a man from hell.

4. Therefore, it is not a man's faith or goodness that saves him from hell. The only thing that saves a man from hell is God rescueing him. Man is naturally doomed to go to hell unless God resues him.

5. God rescues man from the inevidibility of hell by way of Jesus and what He did on the cross. Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of man so that God would not judge man and send him to hell.

Almost a year ago, a close male friend of mine, mother passed away, she drank allot and her body was sick because of it, my friend has one worry that he says he thinks about all the time, his mother was a atheist, and he is scared that she is not in heaven because of this, and the thought that she could be in "hell" scares him, and he tries not to think about it, I was in the room in the hospital when she died, I and my mother prayed for her when she was dieing, I told him that I believe that she is in heaven, because he always said that she was a great mother, that she loved him and his brother, and he loves her, he is such a good, loving and kind person, I have never met such a great person, I have known him since I was 10, and I'm 31! but I told him I think she is in heaven because she loved her children, and that she is so loved, that God knows how loved she is by her son's that she would not go to a bad place because she did do something very right by her children,

I think that when the Apostles wrote the Bible, they created excuses for every question or argument that might rise in the future.

For instance :
Why does God allow pain ? ----> Original Sin.

This question was asked on this site:
What is your opinion?

In the last several years, a handful of militant atheists have launched a frontal assault on God and religion—especially on Christianity and the Bible. Their deliberate attack on religious belief is remarkable because it ignores the lessons of history and the discoveries of modern science! Intentionally provocative books by Oxford zoologist Richard Dawkins and American writer Sam Harris are clearly "no-holds-barred, anti-religion polemics that call for the eradication of all manifestations of faith.

"Because the people who want tolerance refuse tolerance towards Christians."

Speaking for yourself only, does this hold true, The only reason Christians aren't tolerant is because they are not shown tolerance?

I was baptized into the Catholic Church a little over a year ago as I was thinking about going into the military. A relative expressed desire that I should receive this sacrament. As a result, I was assigned a God parent by the Church. This God parent is constantly talking about the Church and is always inviting me to Church related activities. I know that they are aware I have not going to Church. It is an open secret that we have just never discussed. How do I tell this person that I have been learning about the Church and am not in complete agreement with it?

I feel like they are trying to get me to go somewhere alone with their Catholic friends and then just ambush me for my feelings. I saw them one day with my mom, it was very awkward and I could tell it would have came up had she not been there.

I'm wondering because I think that is my favorite death sequence in the Bible, but I guess she may not have necessarily "died". I just wanted to make sure I wasn't assuming too much. It seems obvious, but I'd hate to misrepresent the situation.

Gen 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
Gen 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Isn't this what is happening now? Violence is growing every day around us and in the whole world.
