Is that the true goal of spiritual seekers ?

I have read on here that, according to Christianity, God cannot lie. Is this true?

So does God have free will? If he CANNOT lie he must not have free will. If he does not have free will then he must be a creation. If he is a creation then something must be more powerful than God, therefore God could not be omnipotent.

Or is it that God CAN lie, but chooses not to? If this is the case then are all the Christians who claim he cannot lie uneducated about their own religion?

This seems like a rational thought process to me. I would appreciate some religious justification for what I see (I admit I could well be wrong) to be a blantant contradiction

Are you aware of the scale of the known universe?

Are you aware of the likelyhood of planetary bodies just in our own galaxy, which contians over 100 billion stars, and that it is only one of countless billions of galaxies?
The numbers and possibilities soon become incredibly huge..

It would seem an almost infinately great waste of space if only our unremarkable and mediocre star system supported life.

Do you agree that curiosity about the answer to this question is a gift, and should be indulged to the best of our abilities, instead of spending funds on war, which is ultimately between religions?

I think it's the ultimate quest. You?

If you have any definitive answers to this question, please explain the methods used to research and resolve it, definitively..

Is it possible that with ropes around his arms Jesus was pierced to the cross through his hands? I know prophecy said that no bone was broken but could that have been referring to his knees not being broken because he was already dead?

I feel happy, in the same way that I feel happy about Hitler being dead. He was an evil, malicious, homophobic, rascist, down right horrid little waste of space and if there is a hell, he's going to it. I don't think this makes me evil, the world is a better place without him.

I ask this because I'm really sorry....we don't read them. If you aren't Christian...well to put it bluntly, we don't care. We actually sort of think its brainwashy and creepy. I suppose if its the way you think or something we can't change it. But people outside your faith with take you a lot more seriously if you just used your own words. So why do ppl do it? I understand you think its the word of God...but couldn't you like paraphrase or something?

The scientists try to make up theories that disprove God exists. But every single one of those theories is full of holes. The bible provides the only logical explanation.

People deny God and then blame him for the chaos that results. I think this is exactly right. Why do people bash God yet expect him to do great things for them when they need him. If all people would turn to The God, the creator, there wouldn't be so much strife and turmoil in the world today. If only they would turn to Him.

Why is it that human relationships are not enduring and satisfying the way our heart yearns ? Even the husband and wife relationship (where love exists) lacks the "fullness" the heart wants and longs. Is there something in us which is ceaselessly chasing "perfect love" in the quest for fullfilment in life ? I am excluding selfishness and a lack of intellectual clarity as factors for the above mentioned condition.There appears to be a void even in the most loving of relationship.
Have you also experienced the same or is something wrong with me ?
Is that one of the reasons why in liberated societies people divorce frequently and remarry hoping for a more satisfying relationship ?
Or is this yearning implanted within us so that we can find fulfilling love only in our relationship with the Divine?
How terrible one feels when faced with disappointment both in the human as well as in the Divine realm !
I seek an answer from a socio-cultural and a psycho-spiritual angle.
Please help me ?

My neighbors are christians and their daughter wants to start reading the Harry Potter collection of books .....her parents say that they don't approve because it has to do with witchcraft. Are they right? Should christian children not be allowed to read this sort of material or is it ok becomes it just make believe? Thank you! I'm asking because their daughter asked me and I said it was up to her parents but I alwso want to know for my kids as well.

Does the NT gospel teach that baptism is necessary or that it is an option in order for one desiring to be saved?

PLEASE GIVE SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE, as the Word is the rule of authority and not my opinion. This is a VERY important question for one desiring to be a Christian, and comes up very often when talking to people about the gospel.

Ok, here goes..... keep in mind it's just my theory.....

My theory is that when God created Adam and Eve he did without a physical vessel, much like angels.

Meanwhile back on earth, primates were slowly evolving into what we call humans today.

My theory is, when these evolved primates started to develop common sense and free will was the exact time when God condemned Adam to earth.

So, Adam and Eve merged with these physical vessel to become humans. Adam is like the soul, he is what differentiates us from animals.

Well it's sorta messy but you get what i'm trying to say right? I may be wrong on so many levels but thats why it's called a theory.

So how do you find my theory? I know there are many holes in it, but i would appreciate it if there wasn't any bashing.

My friend is a Christian but whenever I say the words "but your religion" they get very offended and say that they are not a religion , but they believe in God go to church and read the bible etc. I am not trying to push anyones buttons now I just dont understand the difference. Like I understand that catholosism is a religion but they arnt catholic they just say they are christians. Is this possible?

I am tired of Christians trying to convert me.
Stop being religious and start being spiritual.
I practice my own beliefs. I believe in a high power. Whether it is a person or not, I dont know. And nobody can say they do.
I study Buddhism and Hinduism and I share alot of their beliefs and ideas.
Yeah I can memorize a book too, if need be, but it wouldn't be genuine. If it doesnt come from my own mind, its not mine to say.
Im tired of Christians who quote the Bible as if they were genuine.
If you believe in something, stand up for it and defend it, but don't do it with words that don't belong to you.
Please think for yourself and find your path, and dont try to dig a tunnel underground from my path to yours in hopes I will fall in a hole, get lost and end up on your path. Bc I wont.

Believe someone who is says they are trying to find the answer, doubt the person who says they have found it.
