People deny God and then blame him for the chaos that results. I think this is exactly right. Why do people bash God yet expect him to do great things for them when they need him. If all people would turn to The God, the creator, there wouldn't be so much strife and turmoil in the world today. If only they would turn to Him.

God, the one and only. The God of the Holy Bible, the God who parted the seas, and raised a man from the dead and told Noah to build an ark and sent his son for us. The ONLY God is the God I'm talking about. The God everyone blames when something goes wrong.

"Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other." Isaiah 45: 22. It is an offer of salvation and nothing and nobody else can provide that. As Spurgeon said: "A man who is self-righteous will not pray, except it be in the fashion of the Pharisee, and that was no prayer at all. But a man, humbly conscious of his soul's needs, and realizing the guilt of his sins,—that is the man to pour out his heart in prayer before the living God." As people grope for answers, the real answer is there all the time. However, it takes humility and grace to accept this offer and those are attributes which are not highly regarded in this sinful world of ours.

In 1 Peter 4:17 God says "...judgment must begin at the house of God ..." The reason God says this is because this is what he tells us is in the church, 1. disobedient 2. ungodly 3. sinners 4. scarcely be saved 5. righteous
Jesus also warned, did He not, that His teachings divide and separate people, even right down into the family members (Matthew 10:34-38)? No where does the Bible teach a "Live and let live" mesage of "tolerance" for all kinds of beliefs and philosophies. Truth unites some people and alienates others.
In 11 Corinthians 11:13-15 we see that God has known and allowed distortion of Scripture that we now see in the churches. "Therefore it is no great thing if his (Satan's) ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;" meaning Satan's ministers are in the pulpits preaching Christ and righteousness! WOW!
You should have notified the other preachers in the city so they could go to that church and cast Satan out.
John 8:31,32 "If you continue in my Word THEN are you my disciples indeed, And you shall know the Truth and the Truth will set you free (from Satan's deceptions).
Stay in the Word of God daily.

People are short sighted and self focused.
If things do not happen as they think they should then they accuse God of disinterest.
If something bad happens they accuse God rather that the hand of the person that performed the act.
God gave free will.
In this free will people act "sinfully". This is error in thought because all actions have a thought behind this.
Strife and turmoil are the result of people acting in self interest.
This means their thoughts are selfish, self centered, and self focused.
It is easy to love God when things go right but when things go bad it becomes difficult because we know God could change or not even let something happen.
This is when faith comes in. That God allows things to happen for in these a plan, a purpose, or a lesson can be learned.
For example:
People get angry at God for the river overflowing and destroying their home. - maybe the lesson is not to build where the river will overflow.
Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes and so forth have a reason to happen. We, in our mind, cannot see why and wherefore.
One day we may!

Good point. Scripture says that many do not like to retain God in their hearts. They have a stone heart of "I this and I that" and only retain 'God' as a mental concept in their own head; where, incapable of faith, they are soon convinced that logic is supreme.
God then is just another concept subject to their approval. Without the experience of God, they soon find no place or importance for the concept.
The fact that other people believe in God becomes their big problem. They bash because they are in the trap of logic; without faith and without hope in this world or the world to come..

That's just completely absurd. People that don't believe in God don't blame God for anything. When I (as an atheist) ask you why God let so many people die in the Tsunami, it's not because I'm blaming God, I want to know how you can continue to believe that a fictional omnibenevolent God is watching over you, while 300,000 innocent men, women, and children drown.
The truth is there is no God. Bad things happen to people at the same statistical rate regardless of whether or not they believe in God.
The world is chaotic to being with. Much more chaos is added by those that believe in God, i.e., 9/11, the War in Iraq, the conflict in Palestine, etc.
To blame the problems of the world on the 10% that don't believe in God is quite convenient. It clears up all the contradictions of God's existence and the problem of Evil, and you Christians can sleep better at night believing your delusion is sound.

The problem with this is first what god, what religion's god are you referring to. Even if this could be answered and you could persuade the world to be one religion, Christianity for example. There is still all of the secular beliefs within that. Just look in Iraq. Both the Sunnis and shites believe in Islam but because they don't agree on the interpretations of some of his sayings they are at each others throats. There will unfortunately always be hate in this world and uniting under one banner of god will not solve it. Reality sucks don't it.

I have often thought this myself. I don't think there are as many atheist as they claim, just they don't want to believe in God.
The people who have known God and now reject him are in greater danger. It would be better for them to not do or say anything.
I live in the south and most people around me are religious. They do believe in God. I wonder how well this site represents the nation.
I know that if I didn't believe in something I sure wouldn't spend my day talking about it. But that's an anti-Christ spirit in them causing such things.

That will happen someday but for now we have to believe that there are good things in store for those who wait on the Lord. The scriptures must be full filled. God warned us of these times that we are living in.

That's a fact and you see that in the answers at this site constantly. I also see people blaming a being they don't believe exists.
If we followed the 2 commandments that Jesus gave us, unimaginable good would be done.
