Other than because it requires faith. Also, assuming a Creator exists, which is entirely reasonable when you take a look around you and particularly at the complexities in science.

Matthew 6:7
“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.

From Seattle Post;

Benedict also defended the church's campaign centuries ago to Christianize indigenous people, saying Latin American Indians had been "silently longing" to become Christians when Spanish and Portuguese conquerors violently took over their native lands centuries ago.

"In effect, the proclamation of Jesus and of his Gospel did not at any point involve an alienation of the pre-Columbus cultures, nor was it the imposition of a foreign culture," he told the bishops.

Some other being that is “bigger”, more mature and power will get totally sick of his petulant childish whining, rants and demands and just kick his butt four ways from Sunday?

Would you really want to be on his side when that happens?

The bible says obey authority because God put authority there for us to obey it.If you say the Holy Spirit can not go against what is written in the bible I will give you an example where that is not true.There is a boy drowning in a pond.The government has a sign absoloutely No Swimming.Do you obey the authority or do you disobey authority and save the boys life.Love is stronger than the law!!!! Love conquers all ,Digest this I could name hundreds of different examples.Jesus said if you live by the law you die by the law.

Why do some Catholics say that there was only one church before the reformation when really there was the Orthodox church and the Catholic church? Are they really so self absorbed?

'
Another question is when I ask Protestants why they don't take responsibility for things done in the name of Christianity, i.e. the first half of your list, why do they claim "that was the Catholics," When there was no one but the Christians untill the Protestants split in 1512? Remember, there was only one church, and it was your heritage too.' From this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ak2DVxlG0cqVM1z8kNtMuwHpy6IX?qid=20070516071727AAAMdq7

Modified into a Hebrew format.

Greece had a huge impact on Jewish culture, with half of them adopting the Greek ideas and half clinging to the ancient Hebrew ways.

Do you not understand that this is the conflict in the Gospels between the Christians and the Jewish authorities?

If it's such a lie, then how DO they get away with teaching it in science classes around the world? Are the experts in science and education working together in a big conspiracy to keep evolution in schools? For what reason? Would education administrators insist that something unfounded be taught in science class? Or is it that, perhaps, the experts DO know more about science and what should be taught in schools than you do? If so many people with expertise in the area keep agreeing that it is an important part of the curriculum, maybe that should be a sign that it's not as unfounded as you think.

IF after pondering the above you still believe evolution shouldn't be taught, please tell me how it still makes it into the science curriculum every year.
