can't tell me exactly what it is like and ALL have exactly the same description. Do you not even question what you are actually believing in?
How can ANYONE know if they haven't been there. Even the people that wrote the bible hadn't been there so they don't know either.
Come on...you know it's all made up...why can't you just admit it? I won't think any less of you.

That has to do with religion and spirituality?

There in nothing any of you can say or post about science, secularism, rationality on this site that will turn a GOD loving Christian Jew or Muslim away from the love of GOD..

I honestly feel sad that the ones that did know GOD but turned away because you believe he does not exsist..

I have known GOD since I was a child and through the years did not practice the commandments of GOD even though I knew the bible, got caught up in the secularism of the world at times, but I know without a doubt that GOD hears all prayers of a sincere heart, maybe it's not at that moment but he hears and always leads his people in the right direction, the right path...
So since you know you will never convince the majority of the world and folks on this site who love and believe in GOD, what do you get from being on a site with people who do love GOD and will never ever give him up ever....

That, "God" of sorts, at worse case scenario, is that "creating thing" of the universe; but, can we get beyond that? Can God really be this mysterious? Is that really needed? Does it stop at "just" a creating force?

Not regular devotional music...but rock/pop/alternative songs from the 1960's up until now that are about God or the relationship with God. For example, Jeff Buckleys Hallelujah or My Sweet Lord by George Harrison.

I thought you know that Christians followed the Bible religiously but how come some parts just don't apply anymore? In the Bible, women were nothing...but if you tried to sell your daughter today you'd be in jail. Why? Why do Christians follow some parts and not others?

If your American what happened in your experience to turn you off to GOD and religion, and do you feel you have been persecuted in this country because of religion.

I ask this question because in reading many of your answers, it appears that many of you really have not had the great experience of being an american practicing your religion in the USA.

IRAQ AND THE BIBLE
Subject: IRAQ AND THE BIBLE (KORAN 9:11 -- THE ISLAMIC BIBLE)

Hey,,Anyone know about this...

Read all of this one, it is interesting!! Read down to the very bottom highlighted in green , IT GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS!!! you don't want to miss this! ((*_*))

VERY INTERESTING-

1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq.

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq , was the cradle of ci vilization!

3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq!

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh -

which is in Iraq.

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.

10 Amos cried out in Iraq!

11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!

13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the
Fiery Furnace!)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.

17. The wise men were from Iraq.

18. Peter preached in Iraq.

19. The "Empire of Man" described in

Revelation is called Babylon , which was

a city in Iraq!

And you have probably seen this one: Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia .. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris

and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated

with it than Iraq.

And also, This is something to think about: Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages ...

The following verse is fr om the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah;

and there was peace.
(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?!

God made women sexy. When the Bible says to be modest, it specifically talks about not wearing jewelry, that is, modest, like not showing off your wealth. It doesn't say anything about how much skin you show. And showing skin and being sexy has nothing to do with being promiscuous.
