Actually if you really look at it what she did wasn't make a choice but only stimulas responce. The knowledge only came after the fact as a result of the act which by the way is what the serpent said would happen!
As for eve being blamed for sin that is rather funny. The bible blames both. One place it says Adam brought in sin Romans 5:12
By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin.
But then it also says it was by Eve. 1 Timothy 2:14
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
I guess the bible writers wanted to be on both sides of this fence!

Oh, boy. There was no fruit involved in the sin of Eve, or Adam. When the two sinned, they tied fig leaves together to make what?
A mask to hide their mouths because they ate fruit? No, they made aprons to hide their private parts - those parts that participated in the sin they were so ashamed of. This is a rabbit hole that goes far deeper than many realize.
Also, do you know that fully understanding the events in the Garden of Eden, is absolutely ESSENTIAL to the understanding of almost every other Book of the Bible? Yep, it sure is. And when you start people out with a weak foundation, telling them that Eve ate fruit and God was angry because He told her not to, then you have such a weak foundation, that you will not be able to build any truths you read in scripture on it - everything else crumbles, and appears as if there are inconsistancies, and controversies, etc....
Oh, and it wasn't knowledge she shared with Adam. Far from it.

But isn`t that why we have an Adams apple in our throat? sorry only kidding, in actual fact Eve is not responsible for the fall of the human race because Adam was created and appointed by God as the head of creation and so, if he had not given into temptation and rebelled against God then everything would be so different today.

Come on now, grow up. Surely you are aware that it was "in the beginning" that evil committed the ultimate sin. This is all the justification that christians need to treat women like second class people to this day. Great, isn't it, if you are into the idea of subjugating women. Just point to the story of the evil eve, and tell the girl to shut up.

The bible states that eve was tricked into eating (a victim) but Adam chose of his own free will to eat and so sin entered the world through Adam not eve.

Eve is blamed because she shouldn't have been paying attention to some long, strange, throbbing snake in the first place. Adam gets a pass, because Eve was the only woman around and he couldn't be expected to say no to the only piece of non-baboon tail he had any hope of encountering.

EVERYONE DOESN'T! But those who do are just llike Adam who didn't take responsibility for his own rebellion and disobedience!
When Eve disobeyed the command not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, she was deceived by the devil..., but when Adam "partook with her".., he wasn't deceived, he just plain DID IT!
When she ate, being the "helper" nothing happened. But when Adam ate, being the one God originally gave the command to, being the "leader and responsible one" all hell broke loose..., then he went into blame shifting.
He was/is the head, she was the heart.. of the couple..., but remember..., poop and honey run down hill..., NOT "UP"..., so Adam has to take responsibility for himself AND his wife's consequences just like husbands and father's do today... whether they agree with it or accept it or not!
Adam was the first "son of God" but failed to hold out and take his dominion and authority..., the 2nd Adam, Jesus the "son of God" from the "Godhead" stood firm in the face of all storms and circumstances.
Eve was the scapegoat. God and Adam loved her and the devil hated her, so he came to her to trick her.
He still hates all women because we carry the "seed" and carry life and God still loves us and so do men..., the devil hates anything desired and useful.
I don't blame Eve, I learned from her. Men have authority and what they say carries weight in the spiritual kingdom if they are IN the Kingdom of God..., but women have influence and creativity IF they are in the Kingdom of God..., otherwise it turns out to be domination (men) and manipulation(women). Not God's plan. The devil still deceives women and encourages the ego's of men.

Well, in the Jewish religion, there was another woman before Eve. Her name was Lilith. She was Adam's first wife. She made Adam mad because she called herself equal and refused to obey him. God exiled her from Eden and she lived in a cave. Now, they say that Lilith is responsible for SIDS. Next comes Eve. She accepts her role as a servant to Adam but her crime was wanting to think and direspect authority. Now they say Eve is the cause for childbirth hurting so badly. I think both women reflect what people in that society didn't want women to do--call themselves equal partners or think.

Rukiddin is right. But, if it'll help any, remember it's like blaming the tooth fairy because you lost a tooth.
Genesis is NOT a history book! Eve, if you want to call her that, was simply the first hominid whose mitochondrial DNA matched ours.

My religion is Islam and we don't believe that Adam and Eve's expulsion from heaven was only because of Eve. We believe that they both disobeyed God's order not to touch the apple. The point was that God ordered them both to not do something, and they did it against his command.
