as to how low and vicious some people can be...there are a lot of people on this forum that have surprised me...but then, again, I'm not too surprised...

People will always show their true colors sooner or later, agree or disagree?

Shut up.

I am no longer surprised at anything that I see on here, sadly.

---edit---

Even if you disagree with some of his views (which I do), the shear giddiness that some people have expressed on Y!A at the death of another human being saddens me. What did he ever actually DO to anyone that was so bad that they would be making crude jokes at his expense literally within an hour of the news of his death? Even an atheist or two spoke up on Y!A and said that celebrating the death of another person simply because he disagreed with you was immoral.

First of all who cares... second of all, he said some really crappy stuff about a lot of people.

You tell me how people who live alternative lifestyles and those with different beliefs were helping the terrorists of 9/11? Hmmm?? You tell me how he could say something like that?

How could he say if you are not Christian you are no one -- then you wonder why people bash the Christians here. I hope that wherever Jerry Falwell landed two big gay guys and pagans were there to open the gates.

I usually run about 1200 points a week answering questions on R/A. I am at 101 this week. Each week I find myself going to R/A less and less because of the way people act. Rev. Falwell was a good man and represented his God well. I am from Virginia and did not appreciate the wicked attacks on Virginia Tech after their losses, and I do not appreciate the attacks on Rev. Falwell at his death.

Jerry Falwell insulted and deeply offended groups he could at any chance he got. He was nothing but hate, if you think such a man deserves respect you have deeper problems.

I disagree with you. Anyone who holds different values than you is not low and vicious.

They hate him for exposing the agenda of the left and especially the homosexual lobby.

"The goal of the gay-rights movement is twofold: To convert the culture's thinking on homosexuality, then to marginalize or silence those who won't be converted.

So far, the movement has converted the thinking of our most influential institutions. The American Psychiatric Association, the academic establishment, the media and Hollywood have all largely adopted a pro-gay viewpoint.

But the last major obstacle to the full acceptance of homosexuality is the Church, which is largely influenced by the Bible. So if the Christian population can be persuaded that the Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality, or that the Bible is irrelevant, then that would virtually ensure a pro-homosexual culture." - Joe Dallas, author of The Gay Gospel? How Pro-Gay Advocates Misread the Bible

You are shocked that we don't give a rats behind about a homophobic, misogynistic, bigoted hatemonger???

Come now, Fallwell was scum. He worked to destroy everything this country stands for. He hijacked the republican party. He was a very evil man.

Good riddance to him and his legacy of hate.
