I am Roman Catholic. I go to Church every Sunday and of course believe in God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. I don't believe however in the Bible taken literally. I don't believe Mary was a virgin, or that Jesus turned water to wine or multiplied fish and bread, that the world flooded and noah built an arc with 2 of every animal etc. I am a scientist. Everything I have learned in life goes against the belief that these things could have happened. He says that this makes me unchristian and that I am in fact an agnostic. I think that is ridiculous. Who is right in your opinion? Him, or me?

Genies are also a target of the decree [AP]
A Malaysian museum has closed an exhibition on supernatural beings after Islamic religious authorities issued a fatwa, or decree, against it, state media have reported.
The National Fatwa Council had ruled on Thursday that exhibitions on ghosts, ghouls and supernatural beings were forbidden, as they could undermine the faith of Muslims.Abdul Shukor Husin, the council's chair, was quoted as saying that "supernatural beings are beyond the comprehension of the human mind." "We don't want to expose Muslims to supernatural and superstitious beliefs," the Berita Harian newspaper quoted him as saying.

God foretold that "scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts" (2 Peter 3:1–6).

The Bible states that "in the last days" men "having a form of godliness but denying its power" will actually deny that "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God" (2 Timothy 3:1–17)
Apostle Paul predicted that "the time will come when… they will have itching ears [to hear some new idea, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables" (2 Timothy 4:1–5).
Can you deny what is written thousand of years ago but is happening now?

When someone gives up their life for you, (not necessarily thinking "love"), but just putting themselves in the path of a rabid animal, or an on-coming bus, are they not saving you from some kind of horrible fate? So when Jesus did that, what exactly was he saving us from, and what is so horrible about it?

I have always wondered why it is that Muslim woman wear the headscarfs they do today. I am not trying to pick on the muslims with this tradition seeing as I have no idea the background behind this tradition and I have no one currently to ask this question. But after I do have an answer I will immediately start making fun of that tradition if there is anything to be made fun of the said tradition.

Just wondering. Would Christians here be willing to read a book that argues that there is no god?
Would you give it a chance, open your mind, and read it?
Would you choose not to? If so, why not?

Truth leaves a physical imprint on the earth... no blind faith required.
The bible was introduced by the Roman Empire. Myth the romans destroyed christians, actually they murdered those who questioned the church.
The first christian religion The Roman Catholic Church.
Look closely at the origins of The Roman Catholic Church the violence, murder and torture against humanity .
The defintions of good and evil, only christianity still speaks in terms of good and evil. Evil spent a lot of work defining these things, in the end what they call evil is that which goes against the church it had and has nothing to do with sin. Sin is a word used for christians to justify murder. A good person is murdered by a christian, which action is evil? The christian because he says so? Why can't the devil be found? Because the only ones looking for him are the one's he owns.
John Lennon was murdered by a christian. In Chapman's interviews he's inspired to murder after going to bible camp.
